    Can anyone help please.

We had a new lawn laid (approx 60ft x 20ft) in the bottom half of our back garden last August.  Recently we have noticed several patches of an odd growth/fungus.  It is a greeny colour, and looks like little round blobs of jelly, but very compacted together so in some places it has an odd honeycomb like appearance to it. If you remove a piece of the 'jelly' it is quite solid and keeps its shape and although tacky to the touch it is not stickey as such. I am at a loss as to what it is, I have researched it but cannot find any information/reference to it at all. Can anyone cast any light please?

Do you have a photo to help us out please tracyM?

It could be a drainage problem, is the affected area under shade?

Slime mould must it be.  I think they are rather attractive in a discarded vomit sort of way.
