An amateur gardener, I started this course (at Winslow, Bucks) in September 07 and have just taken the last exam (2 of 2).  The tutor was brilliant and really inspired me to learn more.  However, the training centre had limited facilities so we only had odd half hour practical sessions.   A tutor from Waterperry - Ernie - came over to Winslow - he came across as a man with a wealth of knowledge/great sense of humour!!  Also, our tutor, Annette is also starting to teach at Waterperry so if you have either of these tutors you can't go wrong!!!  As for the coursework - be prepared to put in lots of reading time and to learn lots of latin plant names for the exam!  You will be living and breathing plants/all things green by the end of the year, and will have a great grounding.  This course has given me the confidence to take on other people's gardens now.

Any other questions, dont hesitate to ask!

Annette is the tutor we have, we have just completed the first session - she is lovely and easy to undertand.
