Peat free composts have had a bad press, has anyone used Coir as a substitute for peat, and what were the results? [Edited on 26/02/2008]

My dear Bog Weevil, thanks for the good news about coir. Gardening Which gave peat free a bad name also, refer to General Gardening Forum on the website with a query from "Stevew" about the poor quality of peat free. Beware the Celtic Dragon!
