[b]Hi,
I am struggling a bit with Level 2 as I am doing it on my own. I am going to sit the exam in February and panicking!
I wondered if anyone would like to 'meet' online (I know a chat room that has 'mic' facilities as well as the normal text facilities)? It's possible to set a 'room' up for free so that we don't get people just dropping in (they would need a pasword)
It would be good to share links and audios/videos and generally keep ourselves going! Let me know either on this thread or by private message and I'll explain what I had in mind.
Look forward to hearing from you,
Eve

Hi,
Sounds like a great idea! I am definately up for that.
Please mail me and let me know the details.
I started my course also alone, through HCC in september, and so by the sounds of it a bit behind you.
Look forward to it,
Sandra

[b]Ahhhh I finally am able to type in the 'body'. It wouldnt let me!
Really great that you made it to paltalk Sandra! Well done to get there so soon and smoothly!
Here are the details for anyone who wants to join us. We hope to be open most evenings at least for a couple of hours but as time goes on and we have more members we can open longer hours:
1. Go to www.paltalk.com
2. Download palscene
3. After installing chat program you get yourself a username by clicking on the blue link that says 'new user. get nickname'(!)
4. The room is in 'Education>Study Groups'. To get to a room click on 'browse all rooms'. But you will only get in if the room is open. So might be a good idea if you let us know your username so we can add you to our pal list and invite you when the room is open
Hope this makes sense! It does seem a bit confusing at first. Any problems let me know either here or via pm.
Good luck and hope to see you there!
Eve

What a good idea Eve!
I'd love to be a study buddy with anybody doing the Level 2 cert this year. My exam is in June though, not Feb, but I'm starting my 'revision' now - at least on subjects already covered.
If you, or anybody else reading this would like to get in touch, PM me. Mind you, I use MSN/Windows Live Messenger rather than bespoke chat rooms - you can have group chats though, just like a chat room.
Cheers for now,
Paul.

[b] Hi Paul,
That's great. I've got msn too but I find the paltalk chat site allows us to do more, like we can put audios/videos in to watch together if we want. It also means we can leave the room open for people to pop in and pop out!
We can all have the admin code so we can open it whenever we like and we can also leave messages for each other even when we are offline.
I'll pm you with my msn so that I can 'talk' you through setting up if you like.
Eve
PS. I've started revising the Plant Kingdom. What are you going to start with?

hi darren,
if you have a basic gardening knowledge and experience you should be fine with level 2. the first couple of lessons are tough but after that its fairly plain sailing. any queries or questions mail me. im sitting the first half of the exam in june 09.
tom
all help and advice gratefully received!!
