Jacaranda seeds available

Further to my recent post asking for help to name this rather beautiful (Jacaranda) tree.

I now have loads of Jacaranda seeds available and if anyone would like some please get in touch. I planted a few seeds a couple of weeks ago and they have all taken so the seeds are viable.

new to gardening and loving a bare (!) patio now, i am seeking to get through gardeners here, surplus plants, problem, or maybe not, i live in Dublin Ireland. I would really love some small trees for a north facing wall (for the plants) and would wonder if miniature cherries, crab apple, holly and willow, some perenials and such would be available for me, ferns too and low cover i would love as well. I am mad about birds and used to bird watch for years with Birdwatch ireland, unfortunately i am now neurodegenerating (!!) yeh, well, i am, and am mobility compromised so i would like plants that give small birds cover to flee to in the face of the cat or two and a chance to get the grub i put out and a few feeding stations i have dotted around. At present all that are coming are starlings and a single magpie, what hope for the wee ones in the face of these giants! So here i am sitting and waiting, waiting and sitting, no not really, i am making a garden, slowly but surely, it is in the making! I shall make and wait in anticipation of a favourable response. xpatio pal and her two chihuahuas and the resident mouse running along the raised bed today as Buddha got risen onto a plinth to laugh at a world yet to be formed below his belly. all the best and happy autumn, patio pal (i love this time of year)

Blue Spruce Seedling

Can anyone help me, I have been looking for a blue spruce seeding, I have found a few but they don't sell them until later in the year or they are located outside the uk. Does anyone have a seedlings or young plants they would like to get rid of?

Rhubarb Crown

I have some Rhubarb Crowns that I no longer need and will consider any swop, I have had the crowns a couple of years now and the once of offer are the split's from the mother plant, they have all given a great crop this year and are very healthy plants.

Anyone interested please get in touch, please note the crowns are still in the garden and will be uprooted only when ready to send.

Monarda 'Neon'

I visited Harlow Carr recently and loved their widespread use of monardas especially 'Neon'. Unfortunately there were none for sale there and I haven't been able to find any elsewhere. Any ideas?

Anyone have single clove garlic seed?

Last year either LIDL or ALDI were selling single clove garlic. It is a single bulb, no clovelets, about one and a quarter inches in diameter. Unfortunately they have [temporarily] stopped selling it.

I researched a source on the internet and could find no reference other than major Chinese exporters of product, not seed. It seems it can only be grown from seed. There is an erroneous view on blogs that this garlic is an aberrant variation of 'standard' garlic. Not so.

It's a longshot but if anyone has seed I'd be very appreciative to get some.

Hello

I am really new to gardening and I have just bought a little four tier greenhouse. I really like the look & Taste of chilli's. Does anyone know if it would be ok for me to plant seeds now and what do I do with them? If I put them in now how long will I keep them in my mini greenhouse? Also,does anyone have any suggestions for some flowers which I could grow in there? Or maybe some other interesting veggi's?The truth is I haven't really got a clue! But I have a little victorian garden which I have recently placed loads of planted pot plants in.

White Aubretia

Does anyone have a white aubretia plant which has set seed. Many years ago I had an aubretia 'Snowmaiden' which didn't survive a house move. I have searched nurseries and the Internet and can find no supplier of either plant or seeds. Is there anyone out there who could help?

I do not have any seeds to give away yet but around autumn-ish I will probably have some seeds ready to swap/give away. I don't think I have anything special to swap/give away (most of the plants have not been identified yet - see my other post http://mygarden.rhs.org.uk/forums/t/22208.aspx) but I really struggled to give them away last year. I am not a full member of RHS so I don't think I am elidgeable for their seed swap. I have noticed a couple of threads on here but nothing of recent.

Any help on where to go to swap/give away seeds would be grateful. Living in Wolverhampton is not the best spot to be a gardener - most people's gardens are lawn and that is it but growing up in the Countryside (Warwickshire) I like to have my greenery.

Spare Onion Sets

I have 3 different types of heat-treated sets to give away to anyone who wants them. Each pack originallly contained x100 and I just do not have anough room for more than about 20 of each.I am happy to swap for any other plants (but am not growing brassicas this year) The varieties are

Marshalls Fen Early - A superb onion producing one of the earliest crops from a spring planting.
Red Baron - With such superb results achieved by our customers it's no wonder this variety grows in popularity each year!
White Prince - Produces a heavy crop of semi-globe shaped bulbs. A very popular kitchen onion!

Spare Orchid compost

Protecting veg patch - permenant netting cage or not?

My greens were savaged by cabbage white's last year and this year have been savaged by pigeons(!) so we were thiking of putting a cage over the whole of the veg patch to offer some more permenant protection. However, I am not sure if I will prevent benefical insects from entering and pollinating peas etc - does anyone have any thoughts or tips?
