Afternoon all,

Hope all is well. Emotional maelstrom has had me under the kosh here, say no more lest it opens the floodgates again. Anyway ... moving on and catching up ....

Thursdays bands were interesting and I suppose one must say entertaining if not entirely melodic. A couple were ok, a couple were dire - worst thing is I got no names so don't know which ones to avoid in the future!
Sarah and Miranda, my thesis title is "A rationale for a landscape awards scheme". Its about trying to add a scientific set of judging criteria to a local awards scheme, whether or not it is possible; trying to guide the judges rather than it simply being based on gut feeling (yawn!)
A friend and I decided that cleaning out the drawer of the washing machine was really the limit when trying to avoid writing papers!
Sorry to hear about the funeral Eva; hopefully you can celebrate the life and good times of your lost one.
I'm not worrying about my grey hair ... I'm dreaming it will end up looking like the lady who is on the Dove advert - now that is how to go grey with style! I can only hope!
Nice to see you Dave, glad to hear you are keeping well.

Nothing much else to report from here, harvested a couple of squash and another cucumber; luckily at the moment these aren't all coming at once!
My 50p osteospermum has a good dozen flowers on now, but no pics I'm afraid as I managed to fill my camera memory and have 800 photos to sort - well, maybe just 50 or so in order that I can take a few more.
Right, must write thesis, must write thesis, must write ....

Morning all-late on parade as we are waiting for the garage to come and sort out our daughter's car we have breakdown insurance so can claim it back. Cheryl has gone out for a meal with her old work friends. Hope you get better soon Roundelder.

Excellent carrot pics Miranda. You and Roundelder should deffo start a thread on unusual veg pics. Good news that your son has his cast off Sue, that was nice of your boss to let him use the internet. Your new clems look lovely Richard and they were cheap too. I don't blame you for stopping and talking to other people's dogs Sarah, when I take Sasha out, we get plenty of people we don't know stopping to comment on how lovely Sasha is and most of them are school children.

I think the butterfly in Miranda's avatar is a Peacock, our Buddleja bushes attract a great many of them.
