Glad to help.

I can always remember the 1st time we saw one. It was years ago, in a tiny car park at the bottom end of the Cheddar gorge. We hadn't got a clue what this alien tree was. Ever since then it is known as the Pt tree from the Cheddar gorge. The name is a bit of a mouthful!

They have a giant one at Westonbirt... The National Arboretum near Tetbury, Gloucestershire.

For those that have never been there it is well worth a visit... at any time of the year

In the autumn the colours of the maples can be stunning.

Kids love it and it is a dog walkers paradise.

Looks like Pterocarya fraxinifolia.

Common name Caucasian wingnut.

It grows very large and is a tree that produces many suckers.

Not the tree for a small garden.

Help with tree identification please..

I saw this tree while walking in the Bucks countryside and don't recognise it.

Haven't been able to find it in any of my books either. Can anyone help? Many thanks.
