Have a look at:

H&S Act 1794

COSHH

P.U.W.E.R. 1998

FEPA

Manual Handling

Risk Assesments

Hope that helps

Re: Health and safety - RHS L2 questions

This link may help; http://www.hse.gov.uk/coshh/industry/agriculture.htm

I haven't read through it all but the headline titles seem to cover agriculture in general.

As you say common sense is one way and that coupled with this link will hopefully help you with your research!

Health and safety - RHS L2 questions

Hi there,

I've been working through past papers for the RHS L2 exam and an surprised at the amount of health and safety questions. I've been searching for a definitive list of safety precautions for different situations in the garden.

This is quite useful:
http://www.rhs.org.uk/Children/For-families/Safety-tips

but I'm wondering if there is something more specific for horticultural situations, such as propagation and pruning. A lot can be deduced with common sense, but there are times when I've felt stretched with the questions.Does anyone have any pointers where I could find out more about health/safety?

Many thanks
Fin
