Jolly good slide show there Susiq. Er, we don't have a dishwasher, never mind a dog to empty it for us! Did I miss a caption competition for the "dog & dishwasher" pic...good name for a pub that. Seriously though, being a miserable sod at heart I would worry about the weight of the hound straining the hinges on the machine.
Re your losing pictures on photobucket, do you not save backup copies to a file on your computer before working on them?

No rain today Went up the garden today and found the new lot of cabbages looking very sickly. It's happened very suddenly and from the books, it looks like either a magnesium or a manganese deficiency. I had mixed in blood, fish and bone, but it obviously wasn't enough We don't have a dishwasher either, Roundelder. Yes, probably when Percy gets bigger he shouldn't be allowed in the dishwasher, though I have seen a photograph of a much bigger dog in a dishwasher. Can't recall, but it might have been a labrador. No telling how the dishwasher coped, though.

We had some rain today It only lasted for about an hour this afternoon but it was very welcome indeed. I hope the cabbages pick up again Miranda, is there anything you can do to perk them up again? Sasha has never been in the dishwasher but quite often pokes her head in to lick the plates as it's being loaded.

Hi all, I don't think I will have to stay in hospital too long it's not a good time that i'll have .I shall e mail you later Today i went to the stables with OH and she had got a present, a french lop rabbit, it's just a baby at the moment but will grow into a massive gigantic rabbit, it a girl rabbit so I've called her Winnifrid. She is the same colour as a wild rabbit, OH has some rex rabbits that are wild coloured as well.

It's good that you won't need to be in hospital for long digger. Our neighbours had one of those lop rabbits and it was absolutely huge. It's nice and cool here today and it looks like we are in for a very wet weekend. OH is pulling a float in a carnival tomorrow, and I think a lot of people will be getting wet but we will be ok inside his cab

Yes Charlie I think we've had the best weather already but still it's better than the last two summers put together.

Quite right Digger. It has been a great summer so far here in NW Cumbria and my OH and I went scrumping on the lad's field last night and came back with our ill gotten gains and had a delightful pea and broad bean Risotto (the rice came from elsewhere I am afraid!) My OH has just handed me one of my 2mb Compact Flash cards (from my camera) that she found in the tumble dryer...er right, yes you've guessed. Prior to enjoying a 60deg tumble, yes of course it spent 30-40 minutes in the company of a couple of gallons of warm water and a liberal sprinkling of biological detergent. Fortunately I had removed the contents prior to popping the card into my jeans pocket... . Anyway, I am sure you are all ahead of me now, yes, it still works, at least at the moment. I have a feeling that the "treatment" it has had might cause it to corrode sometime in the future...we'll see. Mind you the guarantee does not specifically say that it is not machine washable...now then

It's surprising what will withstand going in the washing machine and tumble dryer. I don't check pockets before loading the machine up and the others around here know to empty them beforehand as any money that falls out doesn't get handed back I've just picked up a nice little burgundy coloured Fiesta, it runs like a dream so I'm happy

I was delighted to read that John Humphris, President of the Professional Gardeners’ Guild, has been awarded the Victoria Medal of Honour (VMH). Only 63 horticulturalists hold the VMH at any one time: to mark the length of Queen Victoria’s reign. Perhaps She would be dismayed to learn that all professional gardeners within the RHS are being rebranded as ‘Horticultural Technicians’ and that the RHS intends sacking 10% of them. If this were not bad enough those highly experienced gardeners that are unsuccessful in gaining one of these new posts will be required to vacate their tied accommodation pretty smartly. Lord Aberconway is I’m sure, turning in his grave
Beetling ahead....maybe.........?

I'm with you sue1002, my hubby is always moaning that I've washed things 'well empty your pockets then' but what he finds strange is that I always leave the washed pocket contents above the washing machine, however there's never any money there,

Hmm, I must say I definitely did not moan at my OH (would I dare?!) for washing 1 item that I had inadvertently left in a pocket when I (very obediently) put my washing in the linen basket. Of course it could have been worse, I (yes me) may have run over it with a hot iron when doing my bit in the home!!

Great news about your new car Sue1002 - happy motoring Ha ha ha Roundelder - and there was me feeling rubbish about not being techy enough to do stuff like storing pics before going to photobucket No, seriously, am glad for you that it sill works - for now anyway! Re the dishwasher - Percy is still a puppy, so his weight isn't an issue. Like Sue's Sasha - Portia licks the plates when they go in - Percy isn't big enough to reach, which is why he jumped onto the back of the door! Your new rabbit sounds great Digger - you must have almost a minature zoo now with all your new additions. Miranda - you did make me laugh thinking the garden looked tidy - good job I haven't got a posh camera that shows the detail - unfortunately looking after Percy has made me loose loads and loads of weeding time, there are parts of the garden I can't even get to as the weeds are as tall as me - and I'm 5'8"! We are having some baby courgettes tonight and I'm attempting a new recipe where you stuff the courgette flowers with ricotta, chilli and basil then deep fry them in batter - will let you know how they tasted.

Congrats on the new car, Sue. Same as ours, even the colour! We've got bits of our garden like that - Susiq, sure everyone has! It grows so fast at this time of year. You turn your back on an area and two days later you hardly recognise it for the length of the grass and weeds. Interesting recipe - look forward to seeing what you think of it. We're trying a lot of new courgette recipes as well.
I always check pockets before loading the machine as we once got a coin stuck in ours and when the man came to fix it, he said that a coin stuck in the right place can cut through the drum 'like a can opener'. I read once of a woman who confiscated anything she found left in her family's pockets and made her husband and kids buy their things back. She reckoned it worked well.
