Hi all, no sue1002, I didn't watch the I'm a celeb, I forgot to reply to your earlier post I did take Sally with me to the dentist but she had to sit in the waiting room whilst I had my checkup.

I bet everyone made a fuss of Sally while she was waiting for you digger. I'm glued to the "I'm a Celeb", and have watched them all, the sadistic part of me loves watching them doing the trials and wondering what they will come up for them next

Absolutely compulsive viewing for me - everytime! Kilroy-Silk is being a total ********* - I edited that myself as it would never have got on here!
Ah Digger, does Sally just sit there patiently? We met a lovely rescue dog on the beach this morning, it was a Rotweiller cross, but a true 'gentle giant'. The lady said she got him from the RSPCA, apparently the owners had split up and put him into the care of the RSPCA. I could NEVER contemplate abandoning any dog of mine, no matter what my circumstances?

Forgot to mention - I was gobsmacked this morning to find three white calla lilies in full flower by the pond!

My calla lily only put up a leaf this year and didn't flower at all. I certainly agree with you Susiq on Kilroy, I can see him being the first one voted out, and it's a pity football has put paid to tonight's episode but we do get a two hour one tomorrow. Any rotties I've come across have been as soft as lights. There was a bit on our local news yesterday about the amount of dogs being taken to the rescue centres because of the credit crunch and all the centres around here are full to bursting. No matter how tough things can or might get, I would never consider giving up one of the family either.

Hi all, Yes Sally just sits and waits for me but we've not been to the dentist together before, she only came with me because I was feeling tired. I agree with your sentiments I would never ever consider giving up any of my dogs, right now Richard is asleep on one couch he's sprawled across, but he's an old man now and we never ever disturb him at all, Sally is upside down on the other couch snoring like a pig and piper is asleep on the bqack of the couch above Sally, Oh is out with our young son and I'm on my own at the moment, if anyone calls at the door Sally will go to the door with me, but if OH is in Sally doesn't go to the door with her? btw I've always thought that Kilroy was a ****, maybe I'll tune in tomorrow and see what he's up to.

I'll watch it tomorrow, I'm going to LBS tomorrow they are having a sale day 20% off everything and free coffee and mince pies, in fact I might even buy myself a soil testing kit from there, and I'm getting some enviromesh insect screen and some fleece for tender plants inside the cold frame

With 20% off everything digger, you should get some good bargains but it's still a bit early for me for mince pies as yet.

Since moving here I have discovered I love mince pies!! I am a weird one, I can eat them year round and a stew or good pot of beans, just wish I could get cornmeal here to make cornbread. Well only about 40 more pots to go and all will be inventoryed, and put away for the winter. Well off to see what I can get together for tea....
if you clear it, plant it....the weeds will come!! So plant more!!!

I do like mince pies but if I start eating them now, I'll be sick of the sight of them by Christmas - mind you I could eat Christmas pudding all year round, I always make my own and this year I've made one big one and four medium sized ones but I can guarantee the whole lot will be gone by the end of January. Did you get all the bits you wanted today digger?

Hi, Yes i did get what I wanted thanks, I got some fleece and enviromesh and I got a soil testing kit really cheaply, it tests for the major nutrients it was only £20 with 20% off and OH got a new stiff sweeping brush for the stables, I had two coffees and one mince pie.
