Hi, I used to have masses of these delicate flowering plants in my borders. Over the years they've died off and I've only a few left. Does anyone know what they are so I can replace them?

Maybe a form of Hemerocalis? Are they short-lived as they are sometimes known as 'day-lilies'.

Yes the flowers don’t last long but there used to be an abundance of them but this year they’ve barely returned

That has happened to me too but, don't worry, they'll be back next year, probably.
