Dahlia and Gladioli left in the soil when over?

    Is it alright to leave Dahlia and Gladioli corms in the soil when they have died off as one does with Daffodils?

    Hi. Dahlia tubers are liable to damage if frosted so it is usual to lift and store in the autumn. The same is generally true of Gladioli although depending on where you live, they may be ok left in the ground if protected with a deep mulch. RHS link below.
