Hi poppikin, they will regrow so will need digging out either by hand, winch or machine, depending on how large they are. Blackstart

Thanks Blackstart. They can't be got out by machine or hand so will have to resort to chemicals this time. Any ideas please? poppikin

Never tried using chemicals, always managed to dig them out. There are various stump killers available online. http://www.bayergarden.co.uk/Products/t/Tree%20Stump%20Killer%20-%202014 Blackstart

By far the best product I ever used was Root Out.

You can still get Root Out but the garden police say it is only for a Compost Accelerator.

Does anyone remember the instructions for using it as a stump remover?

I have found my old box of Root Out supplied for stump removing before. It looks very grotty but still worked the last time. As luck would have it the box writing is obliterated so still no instructions. Unless anyone can tell me something better I am going to clout the middle of the top of the stumps with an axe and fill up the holes with crystals. poppikin

I opened my old box of Root Out from years ago and it is just a clear plastic bag of crystals with a label "ammonium sulphamate" on it. If that is all it is it is readily available on Amazon and the like. poppikin
