For years, with IE I have been successfully putting text on this forum together with adding pictures using Photobucket (which I do not much like). Now with Chrome the pictures will not add at all. Can anyone help please? poppikin

I've always used Flickr with Chrome. Never tried Photobucket. Does that help?

Thanks and it does help. Do you just copy and paste it as usual? There definitely is a conflict with Chrome and this Forum. My picture pasted here OK but was blank. I then clicked the Paste again into a Word Document and it was fine. Chrome on here also bunches up text with no paragraphs and leaves icons not showing. That said I do love Chrome. Thanks for help. poppikin

This forum site ignores all forms of formatting and just squishes it all into a continuous paragraph. Strangely, some people do seem to be able to get some formatting but it never works for me. Regarding Flickr pictures, once you have the picture uploaded to Flickr, I take the URL from the address bar and copy and paste it into here. Seems to work for me and also brings up a reasonable size picture too. Maybe you should try a few here and see what happens. Good luck!

It's not the forum that does it.

As I said in my last post it is a conflict with Chrome.

I have been posting on here for years with no problem at all with either text or pictures using IE. I came across the problems when I had to use Chrome.

Chrome is a relatively new browser and it is quite possible that the forum software needs upgrading to handle it properly. The best thing to do is to contact admin with a request that IT look at the problem.

It is a Chrome problem (not just this forum) and is being addressed by the manufacturer which is the best thing to do. I use IE on here which is fine but at the moment my IE isn't working poppikin

Thanks. I do like Chrome very much except for these glitches. Can I have IE and Chrome and Firefox as you suggest all installed at the same time? poppikin

Hi poppikin, yes you can have as many browsers installed on your computer as you want. If you need to, you can have several different browsers open and connected to the internet at the same time. I use Firefox, Safari, Chrome & Pale Moon. I don't use IE as I'm still on Windows XP (on this PC) and it is unsupported and therefore not a safe browser for me to use. Blackstart

The way I do it in Firefox: Click the picture icon (the tree) on the toolbar and put in the image url, obtained by right clicking on the image in browser, then clicking "Copy image URL" (still in browser) and pasting that url in the Inset/edit image dialogue box here at the forums. I've just tried it in Chrome and I have no toolbar!

Yes, that is one of the problems with Chrome on here. Missing toolbar, bunching up text with no paragraphs and unable to paste in pictures.

I have just got my IE back and that is very easy. Copy picture from Photobucket and past in to message here.
