Counting cricket chirps

    apparently if you count the amount of chirps a cricket makes in a 15 second interval then add 37, it gives you the approximate temperature outside in Fahrenheit. What do you make of that?

    Not sure of the maths but it could make sense as insects have to warm up before they can move around - bees do something called futile cycles to warm up their wings (which is also what I call the exercise bikes in the gym, you know hte ones that are permanently parked next to the dreadmills).
