Wisteria Suddenly Died

  Easdale Location: Lincolnshire Joined on: 14 Jul 2012 Posts: 2	Reply | Contact  Almost over night our 5 year old wisteria just wilted and died.  The offshoots from the roots seem to be ok, but the main plant itself is just dead. I've watered it in the hope that it recoveres. Although we've had a good amount of rain (no flooding) the plant is quite sheltered and the ground seemed dryish.  Any ideas as to why it should suddenly die? Thanks.

  Julie Location: London Joined on: 28 Apr 2009 Posts: 410	Reply | Contact Wisteria are often grafted and sometimes the graft comes apart. Look towards the bottom of the plant and see if you can see the join and how it looks.
