Hi, I bought an evergreen climber about 4 years ago because it was different from all the other ones in my garden. Unfortunately it soon began to wilt, either becauseit was in full sun and in clay soil, not sure which, so I dug it up and planted it in a pot until became a healthy plant again. I gave it to my sister and it is thriving in partial shade and sandy soil. It has grown to about 8-10 feet - this plant has smooth green leaves which have 5-7 oval leaflets about 1 cm long. The stems are slender and it has a profusion of small yellow flowers from Spring to Autumn. It has since produced seedlings so my sister gave me some to see if I could try to grow one in my garden again. As it has never had a label I don't know its' name to look up the ideal conditions. I do hope someone can identify this plant from the photos as this is only the small plant, if not I will get a photo of the mature one. Look forward to finding out!

I don't know why the photos aren't appearing because I have followed the instructions. I have just looked up Jasmine Humile and I don't think it is that because the flowers are more the shape of pea flowers and they leave slim smooth pea pods when the flowers die, also the leaves are not pointed they are more oval. The stems are green and fine but the main stem is quite thick now and a mottled brown. Does that make anymore sense? I need to now work out how to add the photos.

Thanks, I am almost certain this is the plant's name (I do remember it began with a 'C', not much help I know), although on all the sites it says it grows into a bush about 1-1.5m high but this one is growing up the side of the garage very happily and is constantly getting a hair cut which it seems to like!

Strictly speaking it is a just a free standing shrub rather than a climber, which is why I did not even think of it until your clue about pea like flowers. It is a lovely shrub.I saw one several years ago in full flower in November.
