Hello, I've just joined the forum, after browsing some of the other gardening forums this seems to be the one with the most knowledgeable crowd!

Could I ask that you try and identify this plant please? A month or so ago it had lots of pink/red flowers, they are now turning into berries of some sort.

The leaf is not unlike that of a gooseberry, but the bust is far to big (8 feet tall) and not thorny.

I do know that when in bloom, the bee's absolutely loved this plant!

There will be more to follow later :)

     Flowering currant.

    Ribes sanguineum

Whether you think you can do a thing, or think you cannot, you are right.

Ooops - didn't mean to shout that! Copied it from the internet to get the right spelling.

Wow, talk about speedy!  Thanks, and edible too. Might try and include it in some pies/crumbles!
