Can anyone please tell me is this Lady bird good or bad?

If its 7mm long (which I suspect it is) its one of the many colour forms of the Harlequin Ladybird - the non-native one everyone is worried about. Primary food source = aphids but can outcompete/even prey on some of the natives. Too numerous to do anything about.
If less than 5mm long its a 2 or 10 spot which are also very variable in colour form.
There are at least another two species of ladybird in the UK which are/can be black with red spots.
