Seeds not germinating

    I may be a little impatient but none of my runner beans/dwarf beans seem to be germinating.  I have planted them in individual small pots, they are in my unheated greenhouse, but I thought as it is warm at the moment, they might start germinating.  I planted nearly a dozen runner bean seeds back in april and only 3 germinated then and are about to be put into the ground.   any tips about the care of seeds?

    I have suffered quite poor bean germination this year. Some have rotted off but the main culprits are mice. Look in the pots to see if the beans are still there! Set lots of mouse traps but my best tip is to put the beans on damp kitchen roll indoors - they should start to chit in 3-5 days. If they dont you should suspect that you have duff seed.If they do you can then plant the seeds showing tiny roots into pots.
