  Reply | Contact Welcome DazzaBT. Been thinking! I believe it is  Aralia spinosa. Grows tall and suckers to form large clumps. To be sure would you please check the trunk/ stem by carefully running your hand up it. If I am right it will be prickly! Then I think it might be Aralia elata - Japanese Angelica Tree. No trunk thorns on this one!
