Hi- moved into our house two years ago which has a Prunus Kanzan ?Pink perfection mature tree (about 20yrs old). First year Autumn colour was beautiful, red, orange and yellow leaves. Last Autumn, leaves just went yellow and dropped quickly. Unsure if was weather/ water/ feeding, anything we could to do this year to get the colour back? Many thanks.

Hello hes23, welcome to the forum, Short answer: it's the weather. Longer answer: To my knowledge, the best weather for good displays is a sunny autumn with little rain and no frost. Strong wind in autumn also doesn't help. I've also read that if plants are hit by drought in spring or summer, they are more likely to drop their leaves quickly in autumn, so watering them in dry weather is the only thing that's under your control. Weeding & mulching under the tree will also help a lot. Have fun, Ed

Thanks very much for the reply Ed -I probably didn't water it enough in dry spells so I will do that this year and see if it helps! Thanks again.
