  Reply | Contact  If hands-on learning works best for you, then it will make it very much easier to fix the information you need for the theory side ( e.g. propagation) if you are doing the practical work alongside it.  If they are running all three together inside a year that's a good way to get the qualification and feel confident you've got a good grounding to change careers.  Best of luck!    J
