hi all, I want to grow my own veg in raised beds which I am going to place on concrete. The ground is uneven so the beds don't sit flat which I'm thinking will cause problems with soil erosion etc. Would it be a good idea to line the beds before filling them with compost? I was thinking some sort of weed control material to stop the soil washing away. Will this work or could it create problems e.g. with poor soil drainage etc.? I also wanted to invest in a small greenhouse but this too would have to go on the uneven ground making it unstable, any ideas on that would be very useful as well!! Thanks!

If you're going to put raised beds onto uneven concrete, the gaps around the edges would actually help give some drainage to the beds for any excess water to run away. Depending on the type of greenhouse you are thinking of putting up, if you're going to go for a proper one that needs putting together, then the site where it's going to go will need to be as level as possible or you won't be able to erect it properly without the air turning blue.

Agree with Sue1002 re greenhouse would also think it would cause issues with stability long term if ground is uneven as well as actually fitting it together in the first place.
How high are you planning to make the raised beds?

The situation with the raised beds will depend solely onthe crops you intend to grow in them, however your idea does sound feasible as they will act as a very large gro bag and as Sue1002, says they will be very well drained.
