Any ideas how I can stop squirrels digging up my bulbs?  I have a yard full of tubs and pots and they have recently come under attack by a squirrel or squirrels who keep digging them up.  I like squirrels, but want to stop them wrecking my spring pots! Any suggestions please?

They do say you can put chicken wire over the bulbs although I personally have not tried it. I love the squirrels in my garden. I think they are SO cute but they are very destructive. Even though I feed them plenty of nuts they still insist on digging in my pots. I find they only like certain bulbs though. Crocus are their favourite. They haven't touched the hyacinths. I got a mini greenhouse to protect seedlings from the squirrels and pigeons - who are incredibly destructive - and not even cute!

buy a very Very Cheap soap tablet then grate some over your pots of bulbs, squirrels have a very fine sense of smell, this makes them sneeze & their eyes water so deters them
