I have had my Hibiscus planted in a sunny position for the last 5 years and it has been happy until this year when the leaves have yellowed and wilted but not browned or dropped off and the flowers have been poor. Can anyone tell me what is wrong with it and what I can do to remedy the problem?

My H. syriacus is about 15 years old & looks a bit like the description of your H. Red Heart. I had put it down to unusually vicious winter cold followed by a cool dreich & windy summer. It has been flooded a couple of times. I'm just going to leave it be until spring, feed it well & hope for better things next summer. I did find this helpful. www.hiddenvalleyhibiscus.com/care/yellowleaves.htm Best K
