    I'm am getting ready to clean my greenhouse ahead of my new staging's arrival. I was wondering whether or not you can get that weird scabby scaly weathering thing off an aluminium greenhouse with something? Sorry about the description but I don't know how to word it!!!

    my brother uses oven cleaner to clean the framework also he spray all over with a mild solution of jeyes fluid and leave to dry

    Try a pressure washer.

    I hate cleaning the greenhouse! I wouldnt go near the corroding aluminium with oven cleaner or anything acidic or alkaline.Aluminium is quite reactive and will corrode through at the drop of ,for example,a bag of fertiliser. Whoops no structural strength in the greenhouse.My experience says a pressure washer is great fot the glass but wont touch discoloured aluminium. Best to live with it unless you have the patience to do it all with a scotchbrite.
