Good Afternoon
Is there a difference between winter flowering pansies and spring/summer flowering pansies or is it merely a marketing ploy.

They are the same, Pansies are actually biennials that we mostly treat as annuals, Pansies can bloom over the winter in the UK but they rest mid way usually in January/February and by late spring they are straggly and are usually replaced.
