Lily Bulbs when to plant out. - mouse in greenhouse problem.

I had started my Asiatic Lily bulbs in pots in the greenhouse ( they're doing well so far) and am wondering when I can put them out in to the garden - is it still too early, I'm in the south of Scotland? I need to move them out of the greenhouse as I have discovered I have a mouse (perhaps even a family of mice) there and am not sure if it / they would be partial to the bulbs. I have already moved out my potatoes as I don't want to lose them and I think they'll survive in the sheltered sunny side of my garden.

My lilies have been outside for six weeks ,my problem is the lily beetles ,have already killed several if you have mice they are very partial to young seedlings a trap baited with chocolate solves this john

They should be fine outside now; they're not really tender. Just make sure you acclimatise them gradually to the outdoor weather. I'd guess that lily beetle isn't such a problem in the Borders as it is down here - and a mouse can do more damage more quickly (at least with lily beetle you can spot the damage before it gets terminal!).

Many thanks - I already have some lillies in the garden but as these had been new bulbs and I'd started them in the greenhouse I wasn't sure if I was too early! I've left the greenhouse door partially opened the last couple of nights and checked the weather forecast for frosts too.
