Hydrangea 'Black Steel'

    I bought one of these the year before last with beautiful black stems and crystal white blooms.  Last year again white flowers, but this year the flowers are blotched pink as are to ones in my local garden centre. This was planted into an acid soil in North Bristol in a semi shaded spot.  I knew the blue and pink ones changed colour depending on the soil pH but not the white - what can I do to keep the blooms white?  It plays havoc with the colour scheme!!
