     Good afternoon all.Big Smile

Sounds like a great time was had by all at the pub garden yesterday Sue. I can remember ours when they were young dropping food from the high chair too...you brought back memories. I have been out in the garden this morning tidying a few plant pots and planted out runner beans in the spaces where the potatoes wereYes.

We have had good use out of our clothes airer in the wet days we had recently lillyrose. We have dried quiet a few loads outside on the line yesterday and today though. Mmmm your roast duck sounded great, we have pork chops tonight, I cut off three slices from the pork joint yesterday before I cooked it so they will be grilled today. GeekedNicola is still away she will be home tomorrow..

Evensong tonight so looking forward to that againWink.

Morning all, it looks like the sun is trying to get through the clouds here.  It sounds like your clothes airer has been getting a lot of use lately Richard.

I'm going to plant the leeks into their final position and have a potter about in the garden today before we go and see 'Ted' at the pictures, not sure yet if we will make the late morning session or the early afternoon one - it depends what time OH gets up as he wants to see it too.

    Hiya all,

You've all been busy then the last few days!

Your tatties look great RichardYes We had our first broad beans yesterday with dinner.

Oh Sue, I'm dying to see Ted, it will probably be another year before it gets up to usTongue Tied

Ha ha Lillyrose, I bet Maisie really looks forward to GS visiting, with all that extra food flying about!

We didn't get to 'church' on Sunday as OH's blood pressure was really up again, but thankfully, today its seems to be almost back to normal, I'm trying to get him to take things a bit easier, but I might just as well talk to the wallAngry

Nice and sunny again here, so I think I'll do a bit more weeding, until I get too hot!

     Hi everyone!Big Smile

Oh sorry to hear about your OH's blood pressure Susiq...glad it is getting back to normal now. I can see that he needs a few lessons from me in how to take things easyWink -  tell him my rates are very competitive too. Well done with the broad beansSmile I am not growing any this year as I ran out of room in the garden.

We have had a lovely sunny morning here SueCool but I didn't get to see much of it as we went grocery shopping. At least we are all stocked up now, so we will be making a fish pie for later with a topping of our own potatoes. Nicola is on her way home from Wales as I write, so she should be here around 4pm. Hope you enjoyed seeing 'Ted' at the pictures.Geeked Cheryl had to tell me the film was all about  - as I have never heard of 'Ted' Embarrassed.

Have fun with that weeding Susiq, I did some of that in the garden this morning.  Sorry to hear your OH's blood pressure had been up again but good to hear it's gone/going back down again.

Hope you don't have to wait too long for 'Ted' to come up your way, it is an excellent film and has us in stitches quite a few times.  Has Cheryl seen it herself Richard?  I did originally wonder why it was a certificate 15 when the film first started but it soon became obvious why not long afterwards but then any teenagers watching it have heard the language before on the playground anywayWink

Your fish pie sounds good Richard, I did a Chinese pork stir fry with rice and now I'm feeling stuffed.

Morning all...Hope you have a good day at work today Sue. It was very muggy here too last night so we left the bedroom window open. It felt much cooler today though when I went outside to check in the GH.Angel

Hope your OH is much better now Susiq...Smile.

Nicola came home with a nice RHS book which her bf bought me as a little gift. It is called "Step-by-Step Veg Patch" and it is for growing with little space. I had a look through and it looks very handy indeedWink

    Hi all,

OH's BP is a lot better now thanks Sue and Richard. We woke up to a pea-souper coming off the sea.

Glad you enjoyed Ted Sue, I can't wait to see it. It was muggy overnight here too.

That was nice of Nics bf Richard, (ha ha trying to score brownie points heyWink) it does sounds like a really useful book for youBig Smile I bet you'll get some good tips from it.

We are popping round to a friends this afternoon, I was hoping it would be a scorcher, so we could all sit in her gorgeous garden, but its not looking that way as yet. Hee hee her husband is one of my friendly rivals (actually the ONLY friendly one!) in the leek club, so I will be having a nosey at how his are doingWink

    Smoked haddock for us tonight.

A quick hello and hope everyone is well.

Rained off today and I'm watching it thrash down outside, feeling glad to be indoors. It's slowly heading north...

Glad OH's BP is down again Susiq, what is it with men, sorry Richard, they never slow down or take it easy do they. Hope you had a nice afternoon with your friends and picked up some leek tipsWink.

Hi all, that's half my working week done.

It sounds like you'll have fun reading your new book Richard and might pick up some ideas you can pass onWink

How did you get on with looking at your rival's leeks Susiq?  It's good to hear your OH is a lot betterYes

I don't blame you for being indoors Miranda, the rain was very slow moving northwards, it only started drizzling here about half an hour ago although it's very muggy outside and I can see me having the ceiling fan on in the bedroom again tonight.

The wind has got up here too lillyrose.  My son hasn't done any more baking yet so I am wondering myself if last week's effort was a one offWink  He did say this morning that he thinks he might have pulled a muscle in his leg so he's been taking it easy today.  He has been good though as we had asked him if he could take Sasha out the day my car went in to have the air con done and he said he would take her out every day during the holiday and he's kept his word.  It feels strange for me not taking her out but while he's doing it, he is getting extra pocket money.

That is good of your Son to walk Sasha for you Sue Smile. Well our rain lasted about half hour and was just a sprinkle not even enough to wet the garden properly. It is really muggy here tooTongue Tied so snap with the ceiling fan again

Morning all, it's sunny and very breezy here this morning.

Our rain yesterday evening didn't amount to much either lillyrose and we were forecasted loads of it with storms and we didn't even hear one rumble...

Have a good day everyone and will catch up again after work.
