    Morning, hope everyone is okay.

Sounds like you had a fine day out with your family, Sue! We did pick the right time for a break, didn't we.

Phot's that venue looks amazing and well done for growing all those lovely flowers!

Well, I've gone and done it again - lifted something heavy, twisted awkwardly and have strained the muscles between my ribs. It really hurts! So, analgesics and ice packs it is, then. Gah, never learn, do I...

Afternoon all, it's cooled right down here and we should be in for some of the wet stuff later on today...

Ouch Miranda, hope your muscles get back to normal again soonRight Hug  It looks like you'll be spending your second week of your hols taking it easyWink

We went into town this morning and took our time wandering around while my car was in having the air conditioning serviced, it's blowing nice and ice cold again now it's been re-gasedYes

Hi all, flying visit, just got back from a funeral and off to our monthly quizz - I really could do without that tonight, plus I would rather have sat in and watched the opening ceremony for the Olympics, lets just hope we don't screw it up as badly as they did with the footie match at Newcastle this week - what a sham!

Oh dear Miranda, you really have been in the wars this summer (well if we can call it thatTongue Tied) Take it easy and get some restRight Hug

Sounds like you had another really good day out Sue, ha ha no need for air con up hereWink I will say hi to daughter from you thanks. Think I'm going to have a hard change over tomorrow, they have left piles of dog poo around my car most mornings this week (that I've had to clear up) - am NOT impressed, bad enough, but I actually provide the lodge with tons of poo bags for our doggy guest ownersSuper Angry

Well, hopefully catch up with you all sometime over the weekend, if not, have a good oneBig Smile

     Hi all.

Been much cooler here today too Sue but we have no rain forecast till Sunday. Sounds like you enjoyed your day out again yesterday.

Ouchee Miranda, that sounds painful. Try and rest up so it gets better quick.

Lovely pics Phot's, so much nicer using home grown flowers Yes. Seen the photos on FB too, you looked lovely.

Yuk Susiq, some people have no morals do they. Not a nice thing to do when you are in someone elses. Hope you do well tonight in the quiz.

I am getting two fruit trees in tubs either over the weekend or early next week. Someone I know has just bought four from a selling site but only wants the cherry and plum so offered me the apple and the pear for nothingBig Smile. Not sure of the varieties yet but will know when they arrive.

Thanks for your kind comments on my flowers. Heard today that they were left in place for 2 more weddings and that then the chap who runs the venue took some home and gave some to his mum and they lasted over a week. Lovely to think lots of people got to enjoy them.

Miranda, I hope your back gets better soon.

Sue, it's not often lately that we've wanted air conditioning, butI'm sure it's a real bonus when the sun does remember to shine.

Hope you enjoyed the quiz Susiq - and get to see the opening ceremony sometime.

How lucky to get the fruit trees, Lillyrose.

We were given a 'patio' apricot tree as a wedding present. I lurve apricots - but I'm not so sure about a tree in a pot as we go away quite a lot. Wonder if it would be OK planted out in the garden? Actually, think I'll post up that question.

Our hot dry spell is definitely over, it's currently raining outside and has gone quite chilly.

Good luck with the quiz tonight Susiq.  I would most certainly have a word with your guests about not clearing up after their dog(s) and not return their deposit for the inconvenience caused.

I wonder if your new trees will have fruit on them for this year lillyrose and lovely of your friend to pass them your waySmile

I saw your question on the patio apricot tree a little while ago Phot's and posted on it.  It sounds like your flowers have been enjoyed by many peopleBig Smile

Good evening all...glad you had a lovely honeymoon Phot's. Your flowers look amazing and it will be something that you will always remember, especially as they were from your own garden.Yes I haven't seen your facebook pics yet but will have a look later.

Oh Miranda what are we going to do with youWink? I can imagine what you are going through with a strained back. Take care and I really hope you improve very quickly.Right Hug

They are all watching the opening ceremony of the Olympic games here Susiq. Hope you and your OH had a good time at the quiz tonight.  I am sure that you will have a great time catching up with your daughter tomorrow- hope your weather improves tooSmile

Glad you enjoyed your day out in Yarmouth yesterday Sue. We have had it bright and sunny most of the day today here but tomorrows forecast doesn't look so good.Tongue Tied

Your fruit trees sound great lillyrose. I would love a lemon tree but it is finding the room for it. We have a lovely recipe for home made lemonade and have made a few litres of it lately. It only takes about 10 minutes to make too and is very refreshing  with ice cubes in it. I will post a link to the recipe later.. Big Smile

Good day all..Its a lovely day here in the East Midlands Sue, with sunshine again. I'm sat in the garden under the gazebo with laptop on the table. I am not interested in the olympics so would prefer to be out here enjoying the peace and quiet.

Lovely pictures of you and your family at the wedding Phot's and what a unique place to hold the ceremonyBig Smile. We were all taken with the little figures on the top of the cake and Nicola marvelled at the detail in the fondant camera too.

Hope everyone else is enjoying their weekend.I am off to evensong a lttle later Susiq and may even be singing outside tonight if the  weather holds Wink

Just thought I would pop in and say hello. I have been rather busy for a couple of days, but I have taken some piccies of my garden to share with you.I just need to work out how to post them. Fraid I haven't read all the posts since I was last on but promise to try to do better next time. Have been hedge cutting and various other little pottering type jobs in the sun today -forecasting a little rain tomorrow. Ah, well - summer was nice while it lasted.

Morning all, it's a sunny and windy one here today with it supposed to chuck it down later.

I'm not one for the Olympics either Richard and nor is OH, and as we couldn't find anything worth watching on tv last night, we played ten pin bowling on the Wii.

We would love to see your pictures Deb, this thread here gives information on how to post photos.

Your tomatoes are definitely doing well Deb, and doing a lot better than mine.

Lovely pics Richard, I can smell your Trachelospermum (the one you have labelled as summer Jasmine) every time you walk past itSmile

I finished mowing the lawn just before lunch and timed that right as just after lunch, it started raining and it's been showers on and off since then.  Roast beef for our dinner today.
