Good day all...well lillyrose the sun has found a gap in the clouds here too. Apart from this brief sunny spell it has been cold and wet here for most of the day and very grey too....more like November than July...Confused

Hope you are having a good day at work Sue not long to go now as it has just gone 4pm...Yes

Hope the sun lasted well for you today lillyrose, it's been a mixture here of sunshine and showers all day but with more sun than rain.

Hope things warm up for you as well Richard.  I did have a lovely busy day at work thanks and at the time when you made your post, I was stuck behind a tractor that was only travelling at 20 mph, I had no option but to follow it for a while as it wasn't a place I could overtake.

We have had sun rain and thunder storms here today. When the sun did come out it was lovely and warm but didn't last long enough to be able to do any thing in the garden.

    Hiya everyone

Awwwhhh flipping heck - you are all Soooo lucky just to get a glimpse of that yellow thing we've forgotten ever existed! It genuinely has not stopped 'persisting' down hereAngry Our max temp today was 10 degreesTongue Tied Needless to say, heating has been on all day! OH's son enjoyed his stay nonetheless, and it was nice to catch up.

Hee hee Sue, being stuck behind tractors is all part of a normal day up here, and yes, it can be bloody frustrasting, even just going for the daily papers!

Catch up properly with you lot tomorrow, I'm pooped!

Bet your son felt the cold, Susiq! Must have been nice to have him there, though.

Sue, you should try driving along our high street - many people go along at 10mph and it can be frustrating!

Same here - chilly. Yesterday we had some sun, but also torrential rain, thunder and lightning and hail. Wonder what today will bring? I now have two sets of waterproofs, one for the morning and another for the afternoon...

    Have a good day all.

Morning all, it's sunny and quite windy here today, hope everyone else gets to see clear blue skies today too.

Yes Miranda, I can imagine how frustrating it would be driving at 10mph, it would be quicker to walkWink

Have a good day everyone and will catch up again after work.

Glad OH's son had a nice stay Susiq, must have been nice to catch up. Is Percy still clean, bet he isn't Wink

With all this rain you should see the state of my floors, I wash, then half an hour later they are just as badTongue Tied.

Gosh Miranda, hail, the weather has gone nutsSurprise

Hope you have a good day at work Sue, and a tractor free drive homeWink

Have a nice day all and I will send some sun to you allBig Smile

OMG is it Phot's big day today - all the Very Very best Phot's - mind you I bet looking on here would be the very last thing on her mind!

Oh Lillyrose, I think you and I are totally in the same boat re the floors, and you are spot on, Percy's feet are as black as the fire backTongue Tied Gawd, I wish your sunshine would work its way up here!

I can understand your logic Miranda with 2 lots of waterproofs, you must be getting drenched lately!

Hope you don't suffer anymore hold-ups on the roads again Sue.

I've got a 'tattie in a bucket' competition on Saturday at our leek club, my mam has got one bucket as well. I haven't even checked in the buckets to see what - if anything - has grown in them, there is plenty of greenery on the tops though! They weigh them all and we get our potatoes back, the heaviest crop wins, and there's a booby prize for the one with the least!

    Have a lovely day, Phot's!

Indeed, Susiq, even with decent waterproofs I'm still getting wet and, even if it isn't raining, the plants are wet so I'm waterproofed-up much of the time! Still, dry so far today and that makes a very nice change. Rain later, I believe.

Good luck with the tater competition - hope you win :)

Hi all, that's me finished at work for this week and I didn't get stuck behind any tractors todaySmile

We've had glorious sunshine all day, hope everyone else had the same.  Did it work it's way up the country towards you in the end Susiq?

Good luck with the tattie comp on Saturday, do you have to take the buckets in whole and they then tip them out for you to make sure no extra ones have been added?

That's a good idea to have an extra set of waterproofs Miranda, at least you won't be having to put wet ones back on to go back to work in the afternoons.

Hope all went well today Phot'sDrinks

I have had enough of this rain lillyrose at least we don't need to water the garden too often. It will be much easier next time for you now you can use the hosepipe!Big Smile

Morning all, it looks like I've got back from town about the right time as it's now chucking it down againStorm

Glad you had a good lunchtime get together with your old workmates yesterday Richard, no doubt you were putting the world to rightsWink

My son has gone on a trip today, six of the students were picked to take part in an exercise with the police where they will visit a forest so they can see how things are done when they are searching and then this afternoon they are doing an assault course, I'm sure he will have so much fun doing that.
