Is it still dry where you are lillyrose?  It's still persisting down here.

Roast pork for us today and that will be followed by a cheesecake I made this morning - I used the same recipe as the Malteser and Toblerone but omitted those two ingredients and used a bag of chocolate chips instead and mixed a couple of tablespoons of cherry jam in it too.

" A sorrow shared..."  It's coming down by the bucket-load here too:

    rainy days

Hope it's clearing up where you are but I get the feeling I shouldn't feel too sorry for you all if I read how many people have been baking and are probably eating cake! Wink It all looks and sounds very very tempting indeed! Cake

I'm off again, sorry to have to love & leave you but I've got some work to do today if I want to have the day off tomorrow!

    Big hugs!

Morning all, it's dry here at the moment with the rain supposed to be coming back later on.

Hope you have a lovely day off today Eva and that it isn't too wet for you if you're going to the lottie.

After all the rain we've had, it looks like I've got quite a few more mangetout peas and broad beans to pick, I'll get those done while it is dry out there.

Your cakes looked really scrummy Lillyrose, and I bet your cheesecake was delicious too SueStick out tongue

At least you didn't get rained on on the way to 'church' Richard - the damn stuff has just not stopped up here, It's hard to believe this is July, I've actually put the heating on this morningSurprise

Well Eva, at least everything on your lottie looks very green and lush, but I think like us, a lot of the 'greenery' will probably be dratted weeds!

Enjoy your veggies Sue, my broad beans are just about starting to form.

Lots of cleaning and tidying indoors today, OH's son is making a flying visit tomorrow, we haven't seen him for about 3 years, he does live abroad though!. I'm also going to tackle giving Percy 'filthy feet' a shower - wish me luckWink

Your cheesecake sounded delicious I expect it has all gone now - and I didn't even get  a sliceSad. I did chicken for the dinner yesterday, hope you enjoyed your roast pork yesterday Sue. You are doing well with your peas and broad beans.

Thanks for saving me some cake lillyrose, I hope you enjoyed your roast lamb yesterday (welsh of course...Wink    )

     Afternoon all,

Been a mixed bag with the weather here, but mostly rain. Much cooler too.

He he, did you manage to shower Percy SusiqBig Smile. How long is OH's son staying with you, or is it just a 'for the day' visit.

Hope you enjoyed your day off today Sis, glad we are sharing all our rain with youWink.

Where's my bit of cheesecake Sue, with Richards I expectWink. My peas and broadbeans are about the only things that are doing well so far. I did notice this morning though that there is two tiny artichokes on my plantBig Smile. First time it has had them.

GS had a bit of a tumble earlierSurprise, there is a pic of his 'bump' on FB.

Oh yes, had some good news this morning thanks to Sue, our hosepipe ban has finaly been liftedYes. Not that I will be needing it any time soon thoughTongue Tied

Glad you've been able to get into the garden today Richard and get a few bits done.

Yes thanks, our pork yesterday was lovely and I used what was left over in a curry for tonight's dinner and we polished off the rest of the cheesecake (sorry Richard and lillyrose but it was very niceWink)

Sorry to hear GS had a tumble earlier lillyrose, I'll have a look on FB in a mo.  You must be feeling relieved that the hosepipe ban is finally over for your area and once things do start to dry out a bit, at least it will save you having to lug those watering cans around the garden.

You are SO lucky Richard to have had a drop of the yellow stuff, wish we had! Ha ha, it took me longer to catch Percy than it did to shower him! Portia saw the towels on the floor in the bathroom when I was getting stuff ready and jumped into the shower, so I did her first - I hadn't been going to do her, but she obviously felt the need! I now have 2 very clean and shorn pooches. (3 carrier bags full of fur Sue)

Awwwh Lillyrose, poor GSRight Hug - still at least at that age, they don't have far to fall, and they usually forget it all within minutesSmile Great that your hosepipe ban has been lifted - quite right too!

Mmmm could fancy some of your curry Sue, I'm just using our left over beef cold, with some roast root veggies tonight. OH's son is spending the night here, but will be leaving first thing on Wed morning.

Morning all, it's dry and quite a bit cooler here today with rain forecasted for later on.

Ah bless Portia Susiq, this must be the first time I've heard of a dog going for a shower willinglyWink I bet both dogs are feeling much lighter now having 'lost' all that furWink  Hope you have a lovely time with OH's son over, I bet he will be feeling a bit cold if he's been used to living abroad.

    Hi everyone

This will be my only time on the pc today, as OH's son will be commandeering this room later on!

Yes Sue it is unusual, but I think its because of Portia's 'itchy' skin, she enjoys the relief of a shower with the special shampoo. I've decided to do plain old fashioned comfort food for OH's son tonight, rather than anything fancy, as he travels the world a lot - so shepherds pie and baked beans it isSmile

No guesses weatherwise here - it is STILL rainingAngry

Good afternoon all... it's raining here now too SusiqStorm after a fine morning. I didn't get to go in the garden though as we went shopping today as usual. Haha glad you managed to round up Percy for the shower - he will be a clean boy now for 5 minutes......woof! Dog. I am sure that OH's son will enjoy the Shepherd's pie and baked beans, I know that I would. I bought a joint of ham for boiling (in the pressure cooker) so we are having that today with new potatoes, broad beans and some home made parsley sauce. There will be plenty of ham left over for sandwiches this weekYes.

You will be pleased that you can water your garden now lillyrose with the hosepipe...though I doubt it will need it today after your showers there. Hope the bump has gone down on your GS's head now...poor lad Person

Hope you are enjoying your day Sue and managing to get out in the garden. As it is raining here it is an afternoon in for me catching up with some emails...and keeping out of the way Wink

    Catch you all later on...Smile

Save me a place for dinner please Susiq, I love shepherd's pie with baked beans.

Hope you've managed to dry out now lillyrose after getting rained on in town.

Glad you survived the weekly shop Richard, and enjoy your dinner tonight.  I'm doing some broad beans from the garden with chargrilled chicken and mash for our meal tonight.

Not long after I posted this morning, it started raining and we've had showers on and off all day so the only thing I've done outside is to water the things inside the greenhouse.  I've also been catching up on that cross stitch (of Sasha and the pups) that I started a few years ago, I will get it finished one day but still got a long way to go...

Morning all, I just about made it back with Sasha before it started spitting and we've got more of the wet stuff forecasted for most of the day.

Have a good day everyone and will catch up again after work.
