Wow you have had it rough with you weatherwise Susiq hope you get some fine weather soon. I have so much to do in our garden but can't get out there as it seems to be raining all the time. So glad you found the ring and OH will be back in the good books. I can't wait  to see your new batch of pics too Sue...Hope you enjoy your few days off Sue and can get to  the RHS's Hyde Hall. I am off to Wales for a few days with OH to see some family so will be back soon.....take care all ... -Richard

The rest of the family are staying here it is just OH and myself going. Hope the weather improves.I'll catch up with you all again when we get back on Thursday evening. -Richard

To make matters worse, we still have our hosepipe ban even though we are drowning . Hope you have a nice time away Richard. Picked my first lot of peas this morning so will have them later with a homemade chicken and leek pie

It looks like we are between showers here and the water butts are slowing filling up again. sue1002

  Reply | Contact Rah Sue and Lillyrose, can't believe you've got pickings already from your beans and peas (big jealous face here) Enjoy Hope you have a great few days away Richard, but you probably won't be reading this until you get back! It's been very muggy again here, and have done a lot of weeding this morning. Portia's skin results have come back, and guess what - they still have NO clue as to why she's lost her fur What a bloody waste of time and money, not to mention Portia's discomfort! The only 'upside' is that they say the hair folicles are not totally dead, so there is a chance her hair will grow back again. Oh well, at least it wasn't all bad news! I'm doing thai crab cakes tonight

It's good that Portia's hair should grow back again and although it does seem to sound like a waste of time and money, at least you know there isn't anything specific causing it. sue1002

The sun is out here now and it is really un comfortable. Too hot for doing anything outside, although I did manage a hours sit in the shade with a magazine
