Ha ha ha Miranda - 'rich' smell is probably an understatementWink No Sue, thankfully, I won't be needing a peg, OH has kindly put the tanks (got one with nettle brew that smells atrocious) behind a fence, so I only pour the 'juices' into almost filled watering cans from the taps on my side of the fence - I'll take some pics so you can see what I'm banging on about. No meeces in the traps today - got to admit I was quietly relieved!

George is lovely Lillyrose, but I can't see a new gsd joining him in his tank! Do think you should get him a 'friend' though, it must be lonely swimming around his ownWink er I don't think your new decision is going to be very popular indoors hey! Still, it sounds like you've got a bit of time to do some 'pursuading' on that front!

Stuffed mushrooms tonight, with some lettuce from the gardenSmile

Morning all, it's hot outside already but at least the mugginess has gone.  If we had a storm during the night to clear the air, I didn't hear it.

That's a good idea Susiq to add the 'juices' to almost filled watering cans, that way you don't get the whiff of the concentrate for longYes

Have a good day everyone and will catch up again after work.

Hi all, its muggy again, and we've got a misty damp sea fret, very eerie looking!

    Where's Richard lately?

Will pop in again later to see if anyone is around.

    Hi dennymid,

When you log in, at top right hand corner of the page, where it says welcome, you will see 'Edit profile' if you click onto that, you should be able to delete your details.

Hi all, that's me finished at work for this week and a very busy one it was tooSmile

It sounds like you do need a good storm to get rid of the mugginess up your way Susiq.  I still haven't found out if we had one last night or not but anyone I've spoken to said that if we had, then we'd all slept through it.  We had obviously had some rain overnight as the level in the water butt had gone up and my car was covered with what looked like sand so I had to give the windscreen a good wash before I set off for work so I could see where I was goingWink

I think using the 'Edit profile' dennymid, you can change any details but I don't think you can delete them altogether.  To contact admin, you would need to either send a private message to admin and click on where it says 'send admin a private message' or send an email to mygarden@rhs.org.uk to request that your details be deleted.

Ha ha ha Sue, I don't know if you've seen tonights news yet - but we have had the mother of a humdinger of a stormSurprise You wouldn't have slept through what we just hadWink It lasted all afternoon, our drains out the back got blocked it was so fast and ferocious. OH had to brave the storm to unblock them as the waters were about to burst in under the back door! The poor chickens looked like drowned rats! All our electrics blew a few times. Apparently there is more on its way overnight. Well the sunshine is actually out for the moment, but the whole garden is a quagmireSad

I didn't see the news Susiq as I was outside watering my pots and baskets but I've just read about the storms that have wrecked havoc from the midlands upwards, it looks like Richard's area has been hit quite badly too.  Hope you don't get too much more tonight though and your OH was very brave to go outside in it to unblock the drains.  You would be surprised what I could sleep through - I've slept through a sash window breaking it's cord and slamming down with a bang and my head was only about two foot away from it.  I've also slept through a car (about six houses down) exploding in a garage at nigh, it took the roof off the garage with it and even the noise from the three fire engines that attended didn't wake me yet when OH snores, I'm awake in an instant.

Saw about that storm yesterday and hope that no one got flooded or seriously hailed on. It missed us here and all we got was a bit of dark sky for a hour. Our car was also covered in dust this morning, Sue, and so were the cars next door. Read that the storm came from Spain, so it must have been their dust. You're like me with sleeping - I'm either so deeply asleep that nothing wakes me or I'll wake if a certain person snores very quietly. When I was about ten, I slept through a three car pile up, and all the sirens, right outside our house.

A bit drizzly this morning, but hope it will lighten up later. Have a good day all.

Morning all, the sun is shining here and we have a lovely cool breeze which should make things a bit more comfortable today.

Hope the drizzle clears up for you Miranda, especially if you're out to work today.  Glad it's not just me that could sleep 'if a bomb dropped' and then wake at that particular soundWink

Good Morning all...Glad Portia's visit to the vets went well Susiq..WOW what a storm we had yesterday! sounds like the same one that you had Susiq. Nicola took a video of it, we had rain and hail lashing it down, I will upload the video in a while. Your OH did well to venture out in that Susiq. It was the worst storm I have ever seen in my life. My Mesembryanthemums took a real bashing ..luckily I took a picture of them a few hours before the storm. We had pools of water on the windowsill and some dripping down the stairs at the height of the rain and hail, so I will have to find out where it came inSurprise.

Lovely picture of George lillyrose...Good luck news about the new  GSD on the way..you will have to choose the best moment now when to tell your OH....Wink

Much cooler here than it is with you today Sue, which is just as well as Nicola is busy decorating a wedding cake. She made some figures of the bride and groom to go on the top. She had two wedding cakes to do last Saturday and is finishing off another two for tomorrow. You will no doubt be glad to have finished work again for the week, and can enjoy a few days off. So glad that you and Miranda missed the storm yesterday...the sun has just found a large gap in the clouds so it is sunny at the moment.CoolBig Smile

Dennymid - if you look at the two posts immediately below your previous post on this thread, you will find that both of those contain the answer you were looking for.

I look forward to seeing the video that Nicola took of the storm Richard and hope you didn't get too much damage in the garden.  It sounds like you might have a leak in the window or frame somewhere, we had one at work where the windowsill filled up with water after a downpour.  When the landlord had someone look at it, there was a small part where some putty was missing outside and once that was replaced (and some clear sealant put all the way round for good measure) the problem was solved.

It's not quite as warm here now as it was earlier on as there is a really stiff breeze outside.  We've had a quick shower and now the sun is shining againSmile
