Hi all..Oh lillyrose what are we going to do with you !...take care my friend   and be careful .Right Hug

What a sunny and warm day it is here todayCool, so I have been out in the garden this morning. Hope you enjoy the tuna lasagne Sue.Nicola is having a day in Stratford with her college friends as it is their last day in college today. Cheryl has been out for a meal with her friends and I have just cooked some liver and kidneys for Dave's and my dinner, with mushrooms and onions, as the others don't like thatWink.

No Miranda we are not fussy on Guinness here so have more than enough for the beef stews. It was Dave's prize so maybe he will sell it somehow. Good Idea Phot's I will have one or two though to help him out when he is watching the footieBig SmileYes.

I am sure that your begonias are looking a picture in your cow trough Susiq...you know I am going to ask you for a picture nowWink....I'm off to Aldi tomorrow Susiq, and  lillyrose they have a remote control bell there for £4.99, and I will also pick up some strawberry plants too for our strawberry tower.      Those Begonias will look good in the cow trough Susiq, hope you managed to get done outside today in the lovely weather.

You're not having much luck with your injuries lately lillyrose, hope your hand heals nice and quicklyRight Hug  If it was me moving the fridge freezer forwards by a couple of inches, I wouldn't have cleared the top either and on the top of mine is the ice cream maker, a large plastic cake tub which is too big to go in a cupboard, the preserving pan and a tub of mealworms, and the mealworms quite often fall off the top when the fridge door is opened if I haven't put the tub far enough back...

Ooh Richard, save me some liver and onions please and hope you get your strawberry plants ok tomorrow.

Morning all, it's a wet one here and still lashing down.  I'd almost emptied the water butt by the back door last night on watering all the pots, baskets and things inside the greenhouse and it's now full againSmile

Yes Richard, I'd noticed it hadn't got dark properly last night when I let Sasha out just after 10pm but never gave it a thought about being the longest day of the year.  Hope you enjoyed your night out.

Have a good day everyone and will catch up again after work.

    Hiya all,

Hope you are not in as much pain today Lillyrose. Ha I've got a drawer stuffed to the gunnels with all the 'guide' books for various appliances, they keep falling out the back of the drawer into the cupboard belowTongue Tied

Wet and miserable here too Sue, yes I did manage to get loads done yesterday, still no where near finished though! Well at least you've got plenty of water now for the next time.

I will take a pic Richard when the weather is nicer, its so dark here today I don't think a pic would turn out very well. Wish you luck with the new door bell! Hope you enjoyed communion last nightWink Can't believe it was the longest day already, it was lighter at 10.30 last night than it is now!

OH is busy putting our new Gold Award sign up in the lane outside the lodge, even though it is pouring down! Me and my mam having been having a little flutter this week on Ascot, I think we are both just about evens at the moment.

Hello everyone! Hope your bruising has gone down now lillyrose, you had quite a bit of a bump there yesterday.

I got lucky with the doorbell Susiq there were plenty there so I bought one and also bought 3 trays of strawberry plants too, so now I have eighteen, there were plenty there too. The plants look really healthy and some are  in flower, so that is a little job for me later to plant up the strawberry tower. I will take a pic of them later. Well done with the Gold Award too Susiq ...I am not surprised about you getting that as the lodge is beautiful.Big SmileYes

I had a good night out with my pal last night at communion Sue, and we enjoyed a few bevvies thereWink. Nicola is busy baking wedding cakes in the kitchen, she has two to do for this weekendCakeCake and another two to do for next weekendCakeCake. Hope work goes well for you today.I will catch up later too.Smile

Hope your OH didn't get too wet putting the gold award sign up SusiqWink  All my 'guide books' (along with the receipts and guarantees) are stuffed into what used to be my sons book bag from primary school, and that is full to bursting in one of the unit drawers.

You'll have a nice lot of strawberries off those plants Richard, did you manage to get them planted up?  I bet your kitchen smelled wonderful this afternoon with all those cakes that Nicola has been busy bakingSmile

Thats a good idea to recycle your son's schoolbag SueYes I didn't manage to get the strawberry plants in this afternoon as we had a large downpour here. It has since cleared up but starting to get dark now so it will be a job for tomorrow

Nicola has finished baking for the day now Sue and the kitchen did smell nice. We made a beef strogganoff again today as its one of our favourites. We make it with natural yoghourt instead of fresh cream..I will find the recipe if anyone fancies trying it...Big Smile

Morning all, it's pretty breezy here and it's just started raining, how's that for timing getting back from townWink

Hope you get those lovely looking strawberry plants planted up today Richard, looking at those, it won't be long before you get a few to pick.  OH was able to pick three that were ready from the hanging basket yesterday.

Good Morning all, It is pouring down here Sue, breezy too, and it look as though it is set in for the day -  so no strawberry planting unless it clears up.

I was very pleased with the strawberry plants they look good. DId you buy new strawberry plants or did you save them from last year? our last lot didn't fruit well maybe I should have fed them better.Embarrassed

I came across this idea for a mini 'greenhouse' handy for screwing to a wall.. Wink

Yes Richard, the strawberry basket is a new one that we bought at Homebase a few weeks ago as the old one wasn't doing too well but I think that might be because they'd got a bit basket bound and could have done with splitting up.  OH likes these ones better too as they are a sweet variety, they're putting out a few runners too so I will be able to pot those on to make some more plants.

The mini 'greenhouse' would go well on your shed wallWink

    Hi all,

Just got back from Mrs Mopping near the borders! Goodness me, the A1 was badly flooded just outside Berwick, our nacky old escort wouldn't start this morning after last nights downpours here, so we used my mam's Jimmny - thank god we did, the escort would never have made it back through the flooded parts!

Anyway, those strawberries look really great Richard, like Sue says, it probably won't be long before you get loads of fruit off those onesBig Smile Nicola is obviously going great guns with the wedding bakingYes

Like the way you have put your son's old schoolbag to good use Sue!

I'm pooped, its been a long day and another change-over to do here tomorrow, so will be more behind with the gardening againSad I can't believe this damn weather, its like the monsoons you see abroad!

Morning all, we were supposed to be in for a wet weekend and it's rather lovely outside at the moment with the sun shining down but that wind today is a bit brisk and nippy.

You're lucky to have the use of your mum's car Susiq, to get you through the flooded parts, hope the waters have receded now!  I can imagine the state of your kitchen floor from P&PWink
