Morning all, it's sunny and windy again here but although the wind is quite strong, it's a very warm one and not cold at all.

It would be nice to have a proper summer wouldn't it Phot's, some of the flowers here are starting to bulk out nicely now but the veggies are so far behind where they usually are for this time of year.

     LOVE it Miranda, how apt.

Well it started off sunny here but it has now clouded over and looks very much like rain. Not too windy though.

Back later for a chat. Oh and 'Happy Father's day' to you Dad's xxxx

Morning all! Thanks for the Father's day wishes lillyroseYes..I had a nice top, chocolate truffles, and a couple of bottles of flavoured cider and two lovely cards from Dave and Nic.Smile

I love your pic too Miranda..how very apt! Haven't had chance to read about the sparrowhawks in your garden yet. My lupins are not tall enough yet to be affected by the rain, they are only a couple of inches tall at the momentEmbarrassed

Not a bad day here Sue quite bright  and feels warmer than yesterday. I will be out in the garden today to see what needs doing and also trying to clear the shed so I can have more room in there to moveBig Smile.

You're not the only one fed up with this weather Phot's. Hope your allotment has not suffered too much in all the stormsLightning.

Roast chicken for dinner today Susiq I will have to make a start on it soon  (even though it's Fathers DayWink  )

Hope the sun came back out for you again lillyrose, it's been out here all day and it's just started clouding over.

I've got everything planted up in the garden now and have washed out all the pots and traysBig Smile

You did well for Father's day Richard, my son gave OH some underwear and a couple of bars of mint Aero (his favourite) which he is very pleased with.

Roast lamb for us today, Sasha is laying by the oven now that it's getting near to being cooked throughWink and I'm doing minted new potatoes, cabbage and cauli with it.

Your dinner sounds nice Sue, I had tuna lasagne and the rest of the family had roast chicken. It has been quite a nice afternoon here and I have been sorting out the shed again. I have a box of scrap metal, a bag of plastics and a couple of bags of general and a few other items so it will be up the tip with those tomorrow after C has come back from calligraphy. I will give the scrap metal to Nic and she can have some money for it at the scrapyard.

Glad you managed to get everything planted in the garden this afternoon Sue. It has gone very heavy and overcast here but the pressure is on the up so looking good for tomorrow Geeked

BRILLIANT post Miranda - spot onYes

Oh Sue, you have put me to shame, have still got tons of stuff waiting to go outside, I think Phot's and Miranda have summed it all up, re gardening this year - what a bloody washoutTongue Tied

Snap Richard, we've got roast chicken too, although mine is still in the oven, after having a successful 'morning service'Wink

It has not stopped 'persisting' down here since last night, but I am determined to get the rest of the bedding plants out tomorrow despite what the weather throws at us!

Well done getting your shed sorted out Richard.  Your tuna lasagne sounds nice, was it a homemade one or a shop bought one? as I've not seen or heard of that one before.

Hope the weather dries up for you to be able to put the bedding plants out tomorrow Susiq, it's supposed to be a wet one here first thing but should dry up later.

Yes Sue the sun did come back for us today and it was lovely and warm.

I spent all afternoon in the front garden today, it was looking very overgrown and untidy. It was very theraputic cutting all the shrubs back and weeding. Khan stayed out there with me and as usual got lots of attention from anyone who walked past the gate

Sounds like you have been very busy too SueYes. We had roast beef today, was going to do the lamb but when I went up my Mum and Dad's this morning, Mum had roasted a HUGE joint of beef (more like half a cow) so I had half and we had some of that instead.

Well done on sorting your shed Richard, wonder how long it will be till its cluttered up againWink. I have never heard of a tuna lasagne either.

Shame you have still got rain Susiq. How is Portia and did OH's ring ever turn up

We had a fairly dry day yesterday, so I cut the grass after work. Just in time as it started raining as I put the mower away!

Whether you think you can do a thing, or think you cannot, you are right.

Same here, Phot's - we'd just got done with the planting and brought in the dried washing when the rain started. Good day with lots done.

This morning, I found something had bitten me on the leg and it's really itchy. Probably ants rather than the dreaded horsefly. At least, I hope so.

    Have a good day, all!

There is something about you and biting things eh Miranda. How is your arm now, all healed up I hope.

Have a good day all, and I really hope you all get some sun

    Hi everyone

A gorgeous one here thank god - I've got a bazillion things I want to do outside today!

Mmmmm that beef sounded wonderful Lillyrose, yes it is really satisfying when you get rid of a load of messy bits in the garden, that is my 1st job today in the lodge garden as the guests have just gone out! Its got tons of all sorts of weeds and I want to get the marigolds planted in there, once I've cleared some groundspace! Sadly OH's ring is still on the missing list! Portia seems ok at the moment, but still rather baldy!

Hope that is NOT a horsefly bite again MirandaSurprise You've reminded me to put some spray on, before I get stuck into the weeding.

Hope you all have a sunny one today, catch up laters.
