Don't worry about having too much greenery on the tatties Susiq, as all that greenery will provide the goodness for the spuds being formedBig Smile

Snap Richard, we had quiche for dinner too, I did a homemade one and we had it with new potatoes and baked beans.  Those Primula Vialii look good.

Hi there Susiq, your pics are fabulous!  Just love, well, all of them!  I can imagine a lot of hard work and planning nas gone in to this, and it looks so beautiful.  You must be very pleased.  And all your plants look so healthy and a lot lot larger than ours!  I suppose even the best establishments get nettles - we have our fair share of snails, but at least I hav stopped them eating my prize hosta! Big Smile

Morning all,we have blue skies and sunshine here this morning which seems to make a nice change.  I was just looking at our local newspaper site and see that our hosepipe ban should finish tomorrow, let's hope anyone else's ban that was still in effect is going to be lifted too.

I'll have a look at your link when I've got a bit more time later Richard.  Were you on the razz last night? it was Susiq who posted some pics not meWink

Have a good day everyone and will catch up again after work.

Hopefully will finally get my digitalis in their permanent spot, nearly all the seeds took (ones from the RHS scheme). The lilac coloured delphs are just about to burst into flower too.

Popping in quickly while it's quiet at work.

That's good news with the Digitalis Susiq.  I had some of those last year ( D. mertonensis strawberry something or other I think) which are growing well and should flower this year.

The spiced tuna sounds good and I fancy some fish for dinner tonight but as the tuna steaks will need defrosting before they can be used, I might have to settle for some cod fillet fish fingers instead as those don't take long to cookWink

Aloha everyone, let me start by saying that your garden is looking wonderfull Susiq! Some changes since I saw it "live" as it were  (gosh that was 2 years ago already!) and I'm still dead jealous! Smile  I particularly love that mix of firepokers and yellow flag iris around the pond. I drive past a lot of those iris on my way to work so now they will make me think of you!

I haven't done anything with the digitalis seeds we bought at Chelsea last year, if anyone wants some I can send them on to you as a gift, just drop me a private note with your address. I should have realised that without a space to overwinter them in their first year the plan was doomed...

The Euro football madness has started up again here in NL; everyone is wearing orange clothing, the houses are hidden by orange bunting & flags, and I've turned into the UEFA Grinch. Ick! But I have to admit that I am fighting the temptation to get one of those orange lion tails to hang out of the boot of my car. I do like those... Smile  As you can guess I will be hiding out on the allotment tonight and maybe go for a movie or something.

Anyway, enough moaning, it'll be over soon hihihi... Back to work for me!

I don't know what variety my digitalis are Sue - YET AGAIN, I messed up the sticks with the names onEmbarrassed I do know they are yellow ones!

Ha ha ha Eva, I haven't seen the orange lion tails, but I bet they are a hoot! I can't believe its 2 years since you were hereConfused My friend had put a Union Jack on her flag pole outside her house, (for the Jubilee celebrations) we are going round hers tomorrow, as the Olympic torch is passing by her door after it leaves Bamburgh, so I think we may have a giggle, waving flags etc., and probably a few drops of some sort of liquid refreshmentsWink

     Hello everyoneBig Smile.

Sorry been missing, I think the gremlins have been messing with my computer lol, first my internet went then I couldn't log on to the RHS, all I got all the time was 'FF is unable to conect to this server', managed to log on a couple of times but hardly had time to read the posts I'd missed and I lost connection. Not sure if it helped or not but I ran a full scan on comp last night (takes a couple of hours) plus de fragged and so far all ok.

LOVED the pics Susiq, your garden is looking gorgeous and very tidy. Your leeks are way ahead of mine, think I left them crammed in pots too long and slowed them down. That black bird certainly had a beak fullBig Smile.

That primula is very pretty Richard. You are lucky having all the egg shells from Nicola, we don't use enough to make a difference. I have noticed this year that we are over run with snails, I am forever picking them off the plants and like Sue off the spuds in the buckets.

Our hose ban is still in place Sue, I think our water company is the only one not lifting it, so I will be up and down the garden all summer (if we get one) with watering cansAngry.

How about some pics of your lotty SisWink. I HATE football.

Sorry if I have missed anything, had so much to catch up on I forgot half of it by the time I came to writeEmbarrassed

Morning all, it's another lovely one here today and quite warm out there already.

That's a shame your hosepipe ban is still in place lillyrose, when I saw the news last night, there were three areas where the ban still stands and the other two are quite near you too.  We've got loads more rain forecast for overnight and well into the weekend, perhaps if you get the same, your water company might have a re-think.

Have a lovely day everyone, make the most of the weather before it turns pants again and will catch up again after work.

    Hiya everyone,

Gorgeous here too Sue, so I'm going to plant up one of those half barrels, being as OH got me more compost yesterday.

Glad you've got your connectivity sorted Lillyrose. Hope your water company sees sense though! Yes that blackbird really did have a mouthful didn't it. At the moment I'm getting through 3 fatballs a day, plus the wild bird seed - I think I'm spending more on birdfood than dogfood at the momentSurprise. There is just SO many baby birds at the moment, I guess they need their energy!

Have a nice time with your chums tonight Richard. My friend doesn't live in the centre of Bamburgh, she's just outside, so when it passes us, it will probably be on the buses with all the ontourage! There's loads going on in Alnwick today and tonight too, as the torch is spending the night at Alnwick Castle.

Have a great day one and all.

     Good day all,
We had a lovely sunny morning but there are a few more clouds about now. I have been in the garden planting more lettuce seeds as the other ones did not seem to come up. Maybe I planted them too earlyConfused.

I had a good time out last night with my pals Susiq thanks, we go to the Bangla which is a local bar/restaurant. We just have a drink there though and a chat/laugh, I am sure you get the picture.Wink I have been having a nice morning in the garden. I found a few packets of old flower seeds so got them all together and sprinkled them all over the garden and will hope for the best. Good to see you are looking after our feathered friends. I don't seem to be getting many birds on the peanut and seed feeder or using the birdbath, and I clean it out regularly and top it up with fresh water. You will have to take a pic once you have planted up your  half barrels to show usWink

Last day  of work for the week SueYes, so that should be good. You are slacking on the sarnie reports thoughWink and keeping us all guessing what fillings are in thereConfused. We are having venison burgers and potato wedges for our evening meal tonight

Glad you are back with us again lillyrose. I am sure you were lost without an internet connection, I'm sure that I would, Here some  pics of the Vialii primula I bought the other dayGeeked
