Hi all, Well done with the horti talk Miranda I knew you would be excellent at it. I think OH wants to come along with me for her own reasons, There is a lot of land doing nowt in the south and OH's family has lots in Claire and I think OH wants to weigh uo thw options. Anyway we'll be going soon and I will try and get back here soon and give a Blarney report from castle Blarney!! which btw none of you should ever kiss the Blarney stone if you visit Blarney Castle, The local children think it's funny to take a whizz on the stone!!! I think it's grossIck! just remember that if any of you visit. On a better note it's not raining here, and by tonight I shall be back eating a Clonakilty black pudding for my super, so thanks to evryone for your wonderful friendship I have so so much enjoyed your friendship over the years, many many thanks and goodbye for now my dear friends.xxx

Morning all, I've got back from town and dentist just in time from the looks of it, it's just started hissing down.

Glad your talk went ok MirandaSmile and hope your jaw ache soon goesRight Hug

Have a save journey Digger and hope to hear from you again soonBig Smile

You'll be pleased to know Susiq that I chickened out at the dentist, I've got a filling that has come loose (a back tooth) and the dentist wanted to replace it but I said I would rather have it taken out than refilled so I was told to leave it until it gave me any pain and to contact them again then, that suits me fineBig Smile so I think I'll eat on the other side for nowWink

Very well done MirandaYes I know I'm a blabbermouth, but giving a talk or demonstration to a group of people is something I could never do, my head starts shaking with nerves - not a good look! Hope your jaw pain goes away quickly.

Ha ha ha Sue - so you got a 'get out of jail card free' tooWink We both live to fight another day!

Hope Digger has a very safe journey and gets back in touch with us all.

Don't know if I mentioned but our 'inspection' is now on the 8th, well at least everything is really pristine, I've just got a few bits left to do before our new guests arrive tomorrow. Looks like we will have literally hundreds of  double headed poppies this year that have self seeded and are shooting up all over the place!

Was it this week that the inspection was originally due Susiq? It sounds like you're going to have a wonderful show on those poppiesSmile perhaps you could cut a few for indoors when they start to flower.

Glad Cheryl's dentist went well Richard.  I made my next appointment before I left, so unless I need an urgent appointment beforehand, I don't need to go back until the end of January next yearSmile

I think this weather will make up it's mind what is supposed to be doing, we've had sunshine and showers on and off for most of the day, neither have lasted very long at a time and it keeps swapping from one to the other.

My son comes back from France today, they should get back to the school around 10pm.

Afternoon all, glad your son got back from France ok Sue I expect he will be tired this weekend after the trip. Wow it is so cold here today the winter's coats have come out again after being put away. We have just been  to a local Farmer's market which is there the 4th Saturday of each month. We always buy two loaves of walnut bread there and I have a look around at the plant stalls wishing I had more room in the garden for themConfused.

Hope all is well with everyone -  I will pop back in later, ..enjoy your weekend everyone!Big SmileYes

Good day all, It is wild and windy here too Miranda, my plastic GH was on the floor when I looked out this morning, luckily there was in there at the moment.Surprise

Glad your son has caught up with his sleep now SueYes. I was hoping to go out in the garden today but no chance of that. I am going to make a start on the dinner soon - it's roast lamb and boiled potatoes instead of roast ones as we have all decided to cut down. I have lost 6lb so farAngel, mind you  that is over the last three weeksEmbarrassed. The others started to cut down from last Tuesday. Smile

Hope everyone who has the strong winds isn't getting too much damage.  The winds have eased off a lot here and the sun is out now.

You've done well to lose 6lb over three weeks Richard, had you been putting on quite a bit of weight?

Morning all, I think we are actually in for a nice warm, sunny day with none of the wet stuff todayBig Smile

I'm sure you will soon lose the weight again Richard.  Mind you, I put on a few pounds over the winter and have had to get myself some stretchy jeans (rather than buying a bigger sizeWink)

I'm going to spend some time outside today and hopefully, the grass will dry out enough for it to be cut, it's grown so much over the last couple of days that it desperately needs doing.

    Hi all,

Foggy and very damp here, we've got a sea fret.

You've done really well losing that weight Richard, I need to take a leaf out of your book!

Sue, you are SO slim, I'm sure a couple of pounds won't make much difference! Your lucky your grass is dry, its a mud bath out there for us, we've had so much rain lately. Yes, the inspection was originally due last Friday, so we will have to get our fingers out again, when these current guests leave. I'd had all the heavy curtains dry-cleaned, they came up a treat, but good grief was it expensiveSurprise

I've ordered some new lavender plants from Spaldings, and my mam has ordered one of those flowering plants that you see in the Canary Islands (can't think of the name), she tried one before and it never came to anything, so I hope this time it works for her. One of our friends spotted an otter in the field near us, I hope it doesn't decide to have lunch courtesy of our japanese koi, as happened couple of years ago!

Good day all..its a lovely sunny day here today Sue but still so cold. I may go and pop out in the garden to see what needs doing after I wrote this.

Would it be a bougainvillea plant that your mam ordered Susiq there are a lot of them over there in Spain and the Canary Islands.
