Yes Digger, we've been hit by the hosepipe ban, it's the first one here since 1976.

Good day all. Quite a fine day here now the rain has stopped. It started in the early hours of the morning. No hosepipe ban in our area Digger and it looks as though we will not get one either. I was pleased to see that my runner beans have germinated in the GH.
Hope that your bench has dried out now Sue and won't need repainting. Cheryl and Nicola went to Aldi today and stocked up with some new baking trays and tins that were on offer. Nicola took her rabbits for a check up today too and one of them needs some dental, work with anaesthetic also, so £90 please!..ouch! Sliced beef and sliced home baked ham with oven chips today lillyrose so that will be a quick and easy meal. Have you all sent away for the free tomato seeds with Dolmio Hope you are enjoying your Bank Holiday Phot's

Thanks for the Dolmio link Richard, I've just filled out my application £90 ouch!!, is it because it's bank holiday the fee is higher than it normally would be? It's still raining here and more of the paint has come off the bench, OH thinks it might be because I only shook the paint (fence paint) container instead of giving it a good stir. Methinks once it does dry out properly, and that's not going to be this week with the weather forecast that we've got, it will need re-doing... Ours will be a quick dinner too, I've already cubed up the left over pork from yesterday and will put OH's and SS's in some sweet and sour sauce, and for myself and son, I'll add some to the leeks in creamy sauce, and have that with some rice.

No Sue the operation for the rabbit is a week next Thursday so it is going to be the same price as it would have been normally. She went to pets at home today and that was the normal price for consultation as any other day. Hope you enjoy your pork with the leek sauce..sounds great I've just been tidying up a cupboard in the kitchen as I was fed up of things falling out of there when I opened it ..

I did enjoy the pork in the leek and cream sauce thanks Richard and am still picking bits of it out of my teeth Well done sorting out your kitchen cupboard, we have a drawer in the kitchen that all the small bits end up being thrown into and I had to sort that out last week when I couldn't find a fuse when I needed one, after I sorted the drawer out, I then found about 20 fuses and they are now in small bags so they should be easier to find.

Morning all, it's nice and sunny here but I won't be able to take advantage of it in the garden today as we are off to see a friend. I've had a look at the bench and now it's starting to look drier, it does really look like a dog's dinner and will have to be re-done at some point - best to do that when it's dry and no rain is forecast Somehow I thought you'd have a few drawers like that Richard, let me guess, most of them are in your shed? Have a good day everyone and will catch up again later.

Glad you survived your weekly shopping trip again Richard. I did have a lovely day but not at my friend's in the end. We were getting near hers when she rang to say she'd been called into work as someone was off sick, so we will meet up on Friday instead. We didn't waste the journey though as we carried along the same road for a few miles more, went and saw OH's mum and then called in to see DIL and grandson, GS is getting a lot more active now and can wiggle himself across the room in no time at all

Sounds like you and I have had the same sort of day Sue, with our GS's . Hope DIL is well. Glad you survived your shopping trip Richard . I think we all have 'those kind' of drawers. I have one in the kitchen and one in the dining room and that's without the ones OH has in the garage
