Thanks lillyrose, it definitely was hard work after grouting the tiled walls last weekend and doing the floor this weekend.  My microwave is quite an old one now, it's one that is a convection oven and grill as well as a microwave but only the microwave function actually gets used these days.

If you click on someone's user name, you can read whatever info they have input about themselves and that's where Ian has put that he's got two GSD's.

Yes, Sasha did make herself at home very quickly on that floor and I bet she spent last night laying on them too as she always prefers to be laying on something cold.

yeah could say that. cost me £400 mon-fri plus i spent £600 as i refused to say on site so i didnt take advantage of any of the free activities they have. I didnt get much sleep, we was woke up every night. Out caravan was less than 5ft away from the road, with no safety fence, i took a 3yr old kid, dont these people use their brain. i asked to be moved and was told NO, so my lad couldnt play outside the caravan. Iv put a complaint in and intend(and will not stop) to get ALL my money back plus compensation.

Sue, you've made a great job of that floor - well done.

Sounds awful, Anthony. It's a real shame when you've looked forward to a relaxing holiday, to have to put up with stress like that.

Whether you think you can do a thing, or think you cannot, you are right.

Morning all, it's sunny and cool here today with a bit of a breeze so that should help get some washing dry and there's rather a lot to do as I wasn't able to use the washing machine over the weekend...

Thanks Phot's, enjoy your day off todaySmile

If you have a look at this post Ian, it might help you on posting photos http://mygarden.rhs.org.uk/forums/t/18506.aspx

Have a good day everyone, I'm going to see if I can get some bits done in the garden as the lawn is in desperate need of mowing now.

     WAFFLE ALERT!!!!!

Hi everyone, had a really busy weekend, and I've missed loads (as per usual)!

Firstly welcome to IanBig Smile As Lillyrose said, you will soon get the hang of it all.

Sorry to hear you had such a rough time on hols AnthonyDSad Hope you manage to get something back from them!

Congratulations Phot's - managed to check out your blog, the ring is fabYes

Well done Sue, that hard work was definately worth it, the kitchen is looking great, lovely floor tiles, you must be well chuffedSmile

Richard, what can I say?, Nicola's cakes are getting more stunning each time we see them, AbFab isn't in it - no wonder you feel the need for a bigger kitchen, looking at the amount of work she's now doingSurprise

Good news about your basil Lillyrose, I'm going to try that with my thai basil, now that I know you've had successYes ha ha speaking of apples, we have got literally tons! I've decided to do a big batch of Eva's apple butter, we all loved that last year.

Speaking of apples, my jam making friend is popping round at lunchtime, I'm giving her all my crab apples, as you all know I am rubbish with jams and jellies, so I just hope she'll give me a jar of apple jelly as a reward! She is also coming around on Thursday, for my jam making lesson using the plums we've got growing (feel like a kid back at school!) Never mind, I just hope I manage to actually learn how to do it properly!

    Another W A F F L E    A L E R TSurprise

Good Afternoon all, well that's another Tuesday morning grocery shop done for the week. Its been cloudy and cool all day today.

That was a disappointment anthonyD with your holiday, I don't blame you in wanting to get your money back after all that, hope you get it all too.

What about making some cider lillyrose with all those apples?. Sometimes we core a cooking apple, fill the middle with brown sugar and sultanas/raisins and  bake it in the oven, its makes a nice snack. Yes

Hope you are enjoying your day off today Phot's and getting your jam making sorted.Nicola says thanks to you and everyone else for your compliments about her cakes.Smile

Your floor looks lovely Sue, they look like the same colour tiles that we bought. I would love a kitchen big enough for a table like that. I would be in there in the evenings escaping from the TV.Wink

Hope you can get your pics on the forum OK Ian. I found the link that Sue gave you so useful when I wanted to do it.

Hope you have a good jam making session with your friend Susiq. We are all going out to the Indian restaurant tonight for Nicola's birthday, so I will take my 'tastecard' that I sent away for free and  get 50% off the bill at then end.Wink

Still grotty hereSad and it is chilly too. Glad you survived the weekly shopping trip RichardWink. Room for a little un tonightBig Smile. I used that link for posting on the forum too, suited me as it was simple and basic so even I could understand it. I went round to see DIL this morning, GS is walking with his baby walker now and is a nightmareDevil. He feeds himself too, and the floor and the walls and NannaTongue Tied. How is your DIL doing Sue. How did the jam making go Susiq, I might make some of Eva's apple butter too. I love baked apples RicharStick out tongue and do them regularly in the winter along with custard

Hope you dropped a subtle hint to your friend Susiq about the jar of apple jellyWink  Did you ever have a go at making jam in your breadmaker? if you've still got the same one that I had until it packed up (as I think we both had the same model) it would be 3 cups of chopped up fruit, 1 cup of jam sugar and 3 tablespoons lemon juice which makes one normal sized jam jar full with a little left over.

Thanks everyone for the compliments on the floor, we are both pleased with how it came out and it is obvious when standing on it, that it wasn't a professional job done but not too bad for beginnersWink

Thanks Richard for the baked apple suggestion, it's been years since I've had one of those and I'd forgotten all about them, but I'll certainly remember when our apples are ready.   You wouldn't escape the tv that much sitting at the table in our kitchen as the kitchen is off the living room, you can sit at the table and still watch tvWink   That table and chairs were a nice win off Ebay at the beginning of last year and only just fits in the kitchen, it is a bit of a squeeze to walk round it and sometimes I have to walk sideways to get through.  There are another two chairs that go with it which we keep upstairs and only bring them down if they are needed when we have people round.

Your grandson is doing well lillyrose, my son was about the same age when he took his first steps but he was after a biscuit at the time that Sam had nicked off him and ran off withWink  DIL is doing well, she finishes work at the end of this week.  We were going to see them next weekend but SS has been asked to work all weekend so we said we would go over the following weekend.

I will let you choose for me Richard, nothing too hot though pleaseSurprise. Sue I laughed so hard when I read your post, I could hardly see for the tearsBig Smile, it was the picture I had in my head of your son running after Sam trying to get his biscuit back. It is a nightmare when DIL brings GS round now as he crawls too and the first thing he does is head for Maisie's bowl which I leave down as she eats a bit at a time, the times I forget it is there and have to fish a biscuit out his mouth. I can't get a table in my kitchen either Richard, I wish I could. We do have a dining room but I would rather sit in the kitchen. To be honest if it is only myself and OH we eat in the lounge in front of the tvEmbarrassed. We only use the dining table if we have company

Haha lillyrose, the kids always know where they can get hold of some food don't they?Wink  Yes, I think the picture you had of my son running after Sam is the same as when I witnessed it and I laughed too, he wasn't quite quick enough to get that biscuit back though and I had to get him another one.  He was always careful with a biscuit in future too and tried to keep it out of Sam's wayWink

Hope you all enjoy your discounted Indian meal tonight Richard.  If Cheryl hasn't got her new breadmaker yet, get down to Lidl's next Monday as they have some in then and I can vouch for that one as it's the one I've now gotSmile

We all had a nice Indian meal out tonight,Stick out tongue and all washed down with something nice hic.. wow there was so much to eat there we brought some of it home. You enjoyed your meal there  too lillyroseYes you asked for some extra curry sauce as it went down so wellWink. They brought Nicola a large gin sling as it was her birthday so she did enjoy that.Party!!!

We usually have our food on our laps at home too lillyrose,  sat in front ot the TV, though I am usually looking at the computer screen instead of the tv.Geeked

Good idea to keep your spare chairs upstairs Sue and bring them down when you want them. Our 'man' will be here about 9am tomorrow to start on the floor. Are you working tomorrow Sue? if so, don't forget the sarnie report. I have a lot of small tomatoes this year they don't seem to have grown to full size...maybe because I didn't remove the side shoots and allowed them to grow...Surprise

Goodnight Sue and anyone else who is still online...I will catch you all tomorrow Sleep
