fab cauli's susieq, and your garden looks fab from the shots I saw.

I bet it won't be long until the kitchen is done as well. As you say once you've done a room then one next to it quite often looks in need of tlc too. Will look great once finished. I keep meaning to touch up the hallway wall where the kids kick their shoes and school bags against it all the time

It is the David Austin rose catalogue Lillyrose. I used to use it at work a lot, but I thought I'd request one. Been a long time since I looked though one, but suddenly remembered my PIL had a copy, so asked for one throught the website the other day. I have got it mainly to update my rose name knowledge, as I need to know plant names for my course. Of course I know a lot from work, even though that was scarily nearly 9 years ago...eeek. Can't believe it was that long ago already, but I am a little rustier on my plant knowledge and recall these days, so to coina  well known phrase...every little helps. Talking of which just remembered I've not compiled a shopping list yet for the usual friday shop

Morning all, I made it back from town just in time as the heavens have opened hereStorm  Let's hope it clears up in time for me to go back again early this afternoon.

I found I forgot quite a bit of what I used to do at work too JG, I had almost 14 years off before returning to the same sort of job last year but it didn't take too long coming back to me, the main thing that had changed was that everything is computerised these days where it was all done manually before and sometimes it feels like I never left the job in the first place.

Haha Richard, I think we can all see more than we can haveWink  I've managed to do it again and got back just in time againYes  I've now got new contact lenses on order as my eyesight has changed (I knew that already though as with my current ones, I can't read the number plate of the car in front of meSurprise) so once those come in, I should be able to see perfectly againSmile

Good luck with decorating the kitchen lillyrose, are you clearing everything out of the way today ready to start painting tomorrow?  Hope Moo doesn't pinch anything that you might leave laying aroundWink

You can do my ironing if you like JG, that is one job I literally loathe.

Rosa 'Maid of Kent' with the small Bacopa cage. It is still sunny here Sue and the garden has dried up nicely after the earlier down pour. I have already cleared most of the kitchen ready to paintBig Smile. Once I get back from walking Khan and Moo in the morning I will make a start. You can do mine too JG as I loathe it as much as SueWink

Those cages look gorgeous LillyroseSmile I'm going to give Bacopa a go next season, now that I've seen how lovely yours and Sue's are. Ha ha you didn't waste a nano second in getting the stuff to do the kitchen thenWink Are you still going to town on foot?

I meant to say to you Richard about the Living Roof, the thyme plants you and C bought me are spreading out lovelyYes

Sounds like you needed your new lens Sue, more than you probably realisedSurprise

Glad you got the seeds OK JG, hope the postie hadn't squished them!

Well am back home got away just before the main rush hour out of Newcastle started. It was a lovely service - a humanist one, it's the 2nd one of those type of services I've been to, much more uplifting I think.
