Another sunny morning here too, according to the weather report we're all in for nice weather, even you 2 up North! Yes

Apart from doing the windows and pulling another cart load of  weeds -it's truly gotten way out of hand - I haven't got much on today.  Nice! Yes

Richard, have a great weekend! I heard the Jersey Boys show was really good, so I'm sure you'll enjoy it!

Hope it's quieter at work for you today Sue, you might be able to leave early..

LOL - Brock Bottom, I like it! Good luck with the bee border today Anthony, I'm sure it will look great once you've finished with it! PS: the strawberry mint was very dissapointing I found,I couldn't smell the strawberry on them, but could be I've got a bit of a lame specimen of course. Let me know if your one smells stronger.

I forgot that particular description of the egyptian beetroot Big Smile I hope it doesn't look like a turd, what I've seen from pictures online it's more of a turnip shape. I have to sort out my beet seedlings from the weeds today, hopefully I'll get it right! Tongue Tied

Yesterday my squash partner and his wife & kids came round to the lotty. The kids had a great time running around and were surprisingly adventurous in tasting all kinds of stuff, not just the strawberries. After about an hour they cycled off with loads of salad and herbs, I get the feeling they'll be popping by quite often now... Big Smile

Right, time to do those windows and a bit of shopping and then back to Weed Central!

Hi everyone, another scorchio one hereCool I'm just about to give everything a good soaking as the ground is so rock solid, I can't pull the weeds out!

Good luck doing your bee border Anthony, I'm sure it will be lovely when you've got it finished. Any excuse do not do the homework heyWink Can't say I blame you in this weather!

Well done Lillyrose, the link workedYes Don't spend too much in town todayWink

Ha ha maybe's your should have put your friends kids to work on the weeding EvaWink I did my windows the other day when the physio came to see my mam, needless to say, Percy has got them nicely messed up again alreadyTongue Tied

I showered and clipped Portia yesterday, obviously not as well as the dog lady does, but I'm sure she appreciates the lack of a heavy fur coat in this heat!

Right everything out there is screaming for a drink of water, so will catch up with you all later.

Morning all, it's lovely and sunny hereBig Smile

Good luck at the hospital Richard, hope they don't keep you waiting around for too long.  And enjoy London too, you still have your good arm to pull the luggage withWink

Take advantage of the good weather Anthony and do the allotment and bee border, your homework can always wait until it's darkSmile

I don't work on Fridays EvaWink  I've been in town this morning and taken some garden photos while I was waiting for the computer to finish it's scan.   Have fun doing the windows and with pulling all those weeds out later onSmile

I had that problem with the weeds too Susiq when the ground was so hard before we had the rain a few days ago.  I'm sure Portia is glad to have less coat too, is Percy due for a trim too?

I'm going to potter about in the garden for a bit and will sort the photos out later.

Look forward to seeing more of your pics Sue. Percy went to the dog lady a few weeks ago, so he's ok for the moment!

Its taken me over an hour to clear just about 2 feet worth of weeds in one of the flower borders, I can't believe just how bad I'd let it getEmbarrassed I've taken some 'before' shots, but probably too embarrassed to actually post them! Did I mention that that weed puller I got from Lidl snapped, so I bought one of those Fiskar's ones thats being advertised on TV lately? Anyroad up, I can't work the damn thing, so I'm just doing it the old fashioned (and damn hard way) with a little hand trowelAngry

Yes, you did mention before about your weed thingy breaking Susiq.  I haven't seen the Fiskar's ones so am afraid I don't know how those ones work, maybe someone else has some experience of it?

I've got as far as uploading the photos onto the computer and need to get one identified as the girl at work couldn't remember what it was and I've been having difficulty identifying it so will do a new post for that oneSmile

Just come in for a break and a cuppaSmile. There is still a breeze here but the sun is really hot. I have been weeding too Susiq, the front garden was getting overtaken once again. There was also lots of weeds growing in the cracks of the path which is made up of block paving, it took me ages with an old kitchen knife to dig them out. My nose is really red and sore today, I didn't realise I'd caught the sun yesterday. How did you get on with the bee border Anthony, good advice from Sue, garden during the day, home work when it's dark. I hope you remembered sun block today Sis, not like me who always forgetsEmbarrassed. I bet all your friends and family love visiting your lottySmile. Pic of Portia please SusiqBig Smile.

more or less finished the bee border, images on skydrive. It's all laid out it just requires plants! I think I will buy them at gardeners world and tatton park, it also just needs a few extra bits of grass. I hope the grass I moved is going to survive!

Hope your nose gets better soon lillyrose.  We've had a very gentle breeze throughout the day which is just beginning to strengthen now.

Well done Anthony, you've got quite a bit done at the allotment todaySmile
