I have a Mac and I don't seem to be able to access editing modes and can't upload photos - I don't get a tree image to upload a photo to. Only able to insert the text link. Another member has attempted to help and copied the various RHS Message Functions to show me what to do but I don't have them on my RHS screen. I'd really appreciate some help!? Sue

I see it ALL now!!!! Why didn't I think of this before.

You're a real star Eva. Can't believe it!

Thank you so much! Can't tell you how chuffed I am! Brilliant!

Sadly I've got to go and sort out dinner - so many fresh vegs. (just been up to the allotment) and a husband with a sore mouth after dental work who can only eat 'soft stuff' for a week.

Catch up with you again soon.

Have a great rest of the weekend.

    Sue x

Glad I could help Sues! Silly I didn't think of asking before, could've saved you a lot of frustration! Euhm, you do realise that I now expect to see loads of pics of your allotment very soon right? Big Smile Can never get enough of other peoples veg & lotty pics...

Wish your husband well from me, give him loads of really cold drinks. Ice-cold mouthwash numbs the soreness plus keeps things clean (tip from my dentist).

    Have a lovely weekend!

You're on re. the pics Eva, though today is the local Gardening Club barbecue so rushing about organising raffle prizes and stuff!

Thanks for the good wishes and advice for my husband.

    You too enjoy your weekend!

    Hi again Eva

Good news and bad news. I've worked out that the only way I can get photos here is to drage them across from photobucket.

Firefox doesn't enable you to copy and paste for some strange reason - or the latest version doesn't. I'll probably find that I would have been able to do it with an earlier versionbut just upgraded!!

Anyhow, here's a picture of my allotment last October.

And here's a picture of it a month or so ago - I must take some more photos!

We have decorators coming in the morning and I've lots to sort out - you know what it's like. This'll be the first time I haven't done the work myself but it's hall, stairs and landing and I'd have needed a tower -or something - to get up high. Anyhow, leaving them to it while I go and visit my sister for a few days.

If your mate with a Mac has any advice I'd be grateful.
Tell you more about the allotment in a few days.

    Good gardening!
    Sue

Wow Sues, you have put a lot of work into it! Yes It takes a lot of work getting things to how you want them but once the main framework or design is in place you're laughing!

Had the decorators in over the Xmas period, also my first time not doing the DIY myself, took a bit of (mental) adjusting I must say! But the result is so much better than you can achieve yourself, so well worth it.

Have a good time at your sister's, see you soon!

    Eva

Hi Eva Can't believe that it's been a month since I looked at the site, but no doubt like you, I've been run off my feet gathering crops... and then finding ways of using them, apart from giving them to friends and family! AND been doing a bit of fishing too - sea fishing that is. Wonderful crop of runner beans, courgettes, squash, carrots, mange tout, beetroot and others - all still producing. Just made a Nigel Slater beetroot and chocolate cake. VERY rich and chocolatey but can't taste any beetroot - p'raps that's a good thing in the circumstances. Hope you're doing as well. Sue

Welcome back Sue! Time flies doesn't it when the harvesting season is in full swing! Glad to hear that everything is doing so well for you, same here, can't seem to get rid of the veg fast enough! I planted way too much for my one person household.. Wink

I like the idea of the sea fishing, did you catch anything, did they cook it on board, did anyone get seasick?? I was talking to a friend of mine about it only a couple of weeks ago. Must sort that out before the weather becomes too choppy.. Ick!  I do think you shouldn't taste the beetroot so you probably did it absolutely correctly, sounds yum!

I haven't had the chance to get my hands on my friend's ipad yet, he's very much in love with it Big Smile and not into sharing (he growls when I even look at it), so I'm afraid no answer on that front yet.

Did the redecorating go well? Everything what you were expecting I hope!
