Does anyone have any experience of "harvesting" Quinoa and/or Amaranth seeds? In particular any effective way of separating the seed from the "chaff".

    Cheers

I have a guide that we were sent with some seed, Roundelder, but will have to find it. I'll let you know when I do!

Right thanks Miranda. My son has grown some and is keen to find an efficient way of reaping the "seed" harvest.

    Here you go, Roundelder: http://www.realseeds.co.uk/amaranthprocessing.html

Quinoa needs to be washed before you use it as the grains have a covering of saponin, which in the wild helps to stop it being eaten.
