It must be global warming I really cannot believe this amount of rain for 3 years in a row.  My beautiful blood red lillies came out and got rained on and ruined and now I have been waiting and waiting for new canna and at least its flowered in all its glory - came home tonight to deluges of rain and the poor thing is just soggy and the flowers about to fall with the amount of water poured on to them.  The wind has blown all my clematis flowers to bits ...... sorry just feeling sad and wanted to share.  Crocosmia lasted 5 minutes aaaaaaaagh!

And then to rub salt in the wound we get advice from the RHS about planting drought tolerant plants that will cope with the effects of global warming!

(Not that I'm blaming them for the rain)

I know exactly how you feel, Rae! Just the same here - I am so damned fed up of getting drenched every time I step outside and my poor plants are soggy and drooping. Really have had enough.

The forecast is no rain for a couple of days here (Phot's I had to chuckle - you are from "the sunny south coast") ha ha!  I am looking at my soggy canna and wondering if a burst of sun might dry the soggy petals and bring it back before it all just drops.  The other plant which I didnt mention was my day lily dont know which one it is but the flowers huge pink gorgeous creatures - every time one comes out its soggy within a couple of hours and just droops and dies!!

Thanks for sharing and commiserating !

Rae, it's always sunny here - it's just that sometimes the sun is in liquid form.Storm
