Just wondered if anyone might be around who could advise on this one....
Hi all
Hope you can shed some light on this one for me. I have some International Kidney earlies in planter bags which have gone mad! They are now about 5 foot tall and needing canes to support them! These ones are growing in Birmingham where I lodge during the week and are in a slightly shady back garden which made me wonder whether they were searching for more light but there is now more sun there and they are still getting taller.
I'm assuming that such massive top growth will mean that the crop will be small to nonexistent. The whole thing confuses me as the ones planted at home in the West country are growing normally. Has anyone got any clues?

I think that the price of entry to the show is ridiculous in this economical climate.
I would think that the RHS want to encourage more people to start gardening not just cater for already converted.
The price to get in is astronomical.
It certainly made me think twice and I am an avid gardener and showgoer.
