Sort of spinning off from the thread on talking to plants, does anyone here give Reiki to their plants?  I do, and have also conducted several experiments giving it to some and not to others of the same sowing batch and each time the ones given Reiki grow much bigger, yeild bigger and stronger crops/blooms etc and suffer less pest and disease damage.

How do you give Reiki to a plant?

    Hello Miranda

I give Reiki to plants in the same way as to humans or animals, so if you are attuned to give Reiki you will know exactly how to do this.  I tend to stand over the plant or plants in question and direct the energy to the plant, but sometimes on a balmy summer evening it is pleasant just to sit on the wall and give the energy to the entire garden.  It has a meditative effect on the giver too, and is a lovely way to wind down after watering.

I also 'switch on' to the energy whenever I am planting seeds or transplanting anything, and recently I was told to put a couple drops of Bach Rescue Remedy into the puddling in water to help the plant adjust to its new surroundings after transplanting or moving.

Be prepared for some funny looks from your neighbours, but I think mine are getting used to my weird and wonderful ways now.

No, you don't need a wand, digger. It's about paying attention.

So how do you give "energy" to a garden by sitting on the wall and paying attention?, I don't understand how to give energy to the garden? is it something to do with crystals?

Digger If reiki benefits dogs then there is no reason why it should not help plants: http://www.animalparadisecommunication.com/Reiki-Dog-hand-positions-01.gif For dogs a wand is useful as if the dog fails to respond to the reiki the wand can be thrown for the dog to fetch. Boggy

As an ex-boyfriend once tried to be punny, exclaiming isn't 'rakey' something you use in the garden to gather the leaves.  Moving swiftly on, no, Digger, you don't need a magic wand or anthing, but you can use crystals in synergy if you so choose.  I don't use them with my Reiki at the moment.  Focusing the energy to the plants is what you do, but if you haven't achieved a Level One Reiki I don't know how effective it would be if you want to give it a go.

Bogweevil, you sound like someone I know, but I know your not but as a new person here I have to work these things out.  Sorry for being slow.  They would throw the wand too, for the dog to fetch.

Well, off to spend an afternoon giving Reiki to plants in my newly acquired patio herb and salad stand thingamagig as I plant it up.

Hello Celtic Heart, I'm not trying to be punny my friend, I'm interested to know how to give this energy stuff to the plants especially from a distance? can it be done from the comfort of the living room? does it produce really good specimens? I have some cystals somewhere upstairs in a box should I find them and put them out into the garden or in the greenhouse?

Does Bogweevil really sound like someone you know? boggy's been hanging around this forum for yonks now..everyone know's him/her, maybe you knew Bogweevil in a previous life or something spooky? anyway do let me know where these crystals need to be put.

This is an absurd idea. What next? Acupuncture for plants? Or maybe reflexology by tickling their roots?? It's funny how plants have survived for thousands sometimes millions of years without the need for this.

It's quite wrong to say the idea is absurd, if it works for someone and they are happy with it, even if there is no scientific basis for the idea they should be able to share their idea, yes plants have survived for millenia without reiki etc.. or special plant feeds etc... but today's modern hybrids are far removed from their ancient ancestors so the comparison is absurd
