Now in mid September the courgette plant is growing reasonably well in open ground. It's maybe 1ft high by 2ft wide with large healthy leaves. I realise that's not huge but it is supposed to be a variety with an "upright" rather than "spreading" nature. But it has zero fruits on it. Zero. I think it's had a few flowers but nothing has resulted. There has been snail damage, they have been eating at it, but I used an organic snail repellant a few weeks ago and it seems to have worked. Any further advice?? Is it now just too late in the year?? No hope of fruit this late whatever I do?? btw it's also been kept well fed and watered. Too well fed/wrongly fed? Which has meant leaves but no fruit?

This is rather small for a courgette plant - the Bogweevil's second sowing in July has plants that are four foot across and two foot high and only now coming into full crop. You have probably run out of time for this year, but run your plans past us next spring and we will see if we can help you avoid disappointment. Boggy
